CHIP TUNING EGR OFF MODULE INSTALL GUIDE

2006 → 2015 3.0LTR TOYOYA HILUX

TOOLS REQUIRED:

Pliers, Side Cutters.

GETTING STARTED:

• Park Vehicle and apply Park Brake

• Remove Key from ignition barrel and WAIT 5 min before starting the procedure below

• Open Bonnet

• Remove Engine Cover

• Locate EGR Valve – See page 2

• Locate EGR Solenoid (Passenger side of Engine) – See page 4

• Locate MAF Sensor (Adjacent to Air Box) – See page 6

Looking at the engine from the front, locate EGR System on right side of engine. In

the above Pic you will notice the upper most arrows pointing to the BLACK MALE

and BROWN MALE EGR plugs (shown unplugged in the Pic).

Disconnect the BLACK and BROWN female plugs and connect those plugs to the

Chip Tuning EGR Off Module Harness as seen above. Connect the other Grey plug

on the EGR Off Module back where the BROWN plug was originally connected to.

The BLACK Sensor (Male) Plug sitting on the EGR Diaphragm remains UNPLUGGED.

Looking at the above Pic, locate the EGR Valve & pull off the short left-hand rubber vacuum

hose on the EGR Valve diaphragm leaving it connected to the filter pod on the left.

Pull off the longer right-hand rubber hose from the lower aluminium pipe and connect to the

EGR Port where the short rubber hose just came from. This will make a loop back to the

diaphragm. Connect the short tube coming from the Filter Pod to the aluminium tube where

the long hose just came from.

In the following Pics (5, 6 & 7) you will see the hoses correctly connected.

• Secure all harness’s & the EGR Module with cable-ties in a suitable location away

from heat and water

• Job Complete

• The EGR will now remain shut and no longer activate

Route the long harness

around the firewall to

the driver’s side.

Unplug the Factory

Female MAF Sensor

Plug and connect it to

the Chip Tuning EGR Off

Module Male MAF

Sensor Plug so that it

“clicks” home.
