The ignition MUST be turned OFF before installation!This module is intended to be used in conjunctionwith Power Commander 222-410

PLEASE READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION

Before this module can be used the Power Commander may need to be updated.

(see included instructions)

1 Remove the seats.

2 Remove the left hand side mid fairing.

3 Prop the front of the fuel tank up.

4 Place the ignition module next to thePCIII and route the harness towardsthe front of the bike going down theleft hand side of the frame. Route theharness between the tail section andthe subframe.

5 Remove the battery. This allows youto route the harness underneath theframe which makes for a cleanerinstallation (Fig. A).

6 After the harness has been routedreinstall the battery.

7 Attach the ground wire from theIgnition Module to the negative sideof the battery (Fig. A).

8 Route the wiring harness to the out-side of the frame on the left hand side.Route the harness above the coolantreserve bottle (Fig. B)

9 Unplug the stock connector from theignition coils (Fig. C).

10 Connect the Ignition Module harnessin-line of the stock wiring harness(Fig. D).

11 Unplug the stock crank pickup coilconnector (Fig. E). This connector islocated right next to where the PCIIIwas connected. This is a BLACK 2pin connector.

12 Plug the BLACK connectors from theIgnition Module in-line of the stockwiring harness and crank pickup coil(Fig. F).

IM connectors

13 Install the ignition module in the tailsection of the bike. Use the suppliedvelcro to secure the unit in place.

14 Plug the white 10 pin connector fromthe ignition module into the expansionport of the PCIII. If you are using aquickshifter then unplug the quick-shifter from the PCIII and connect tothe expansion port of the igntionmodule harness.

15 Bolt the fuel tank back into place andreinstall the bodywork.

Make sure the wiring harness does notget pinched when reinstalling themain seat.
