Greetings Sorors: I am thankful and blessed to be surrounded by God’s love, my family and wonderful supportive Sorors. What are you thankful for? As we approach Thanksgiving and the holiday season, count your many blessings! We are blessed to have our life, health and strength. Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgiving, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings (W.A. Ward). How true this saying is! With Thanksgiving around the corner, let’s take the opportunity to honor each other for the work we have done this year. Please bring a thank you note for a soror you would like to acknowledge to the November chapter meeting.

Target I – Thank you for donating back packs to Lamar County Elementary School. Thank you for taking ASCEND participants to Clark Atlanta Homecoming Game and Campus Tour. Two ASCEND members participated in the XBO – Matchett/Walker Walk/Run. November 5 ASCEND Workshop – 3:00 pm Small Treasures Learning Center – Solomon St. Griffin. Target II – Wear blue or purple to the chapter meeting to support Diabetes and Alzheimer’s Awareness. Target III – DFCS/Toy drive information is forthcoming. Target IV – Thank you for participating in Halloween at the Garden and distributing Goody Bags. Target V – Thank you for executing the Matchett/Walker Walk/Run. Program Committee: Please submit reports of your activities to Soror Tracey. The template will be sent to you. End of the year reports due in November. Please include committee recommendations/proposals for 2018. Courtesy Committee: Social Committee Hostesses for December Meeting. (Crystal Lake) No breakfast Nominating Committee– A two thirds majority of active chapter members must be present for a vote on the proposed budget and to elect officers. Please plan to attend and remain for the votes! Finance-If you have not made your annual donation to PANEL Inc., you are not financially active, and you cannot vote! Social-Tickets for the Chapter’s Holiday Luncheon in December (Crystal Lakes Clubhouse) are $35 which is due at the November chapter meeting. Sign up with Soror Janice English if you plan to attend the chapter’s Holiday Dance.
