Enjoy your last breakfast onboard before disembarking where you will be met and transferred to Muscat, Oman. Upon arrival enjoy an afternoon guided city tour. Start off with a visit to the Bait Al Zubair Museum (entrance included). This privately owned museum is located in the old town of Muscat and is known for its fine collection of traditional costumes, antique jewellery, weapons and other treasures. Drive through the Embassy area (photography is unfortunately prohibited).

Next take a photo opportunity at Al Alam Palace, the palace of the Sultan. Afterwards you will see the Mirani and Jalali Forts before moving onto visit Muttrah Souq, which is one of the oldest markets in Oman. Its history and antiquities only increase the extent of its beauty, magic and allure. On the way back to the hotel you will see the Royal Opera House.

Day 20 Muscat - Nizwa (approx. 230km day)

Today after breakfast visit the magnificent Grand Mosque (entrance included). A beautiful Swarovski chandelier and impressive handmade Persian carpet adorn the main prayer hall. Please consider the dress code for the visit: women must fully cover their hair, arms and legs; men must wear long trousers and a shirt.

Afterwards enjoy a guided tour of Nizwa, the former capital of Oman which lies within the vicinity of the walls of the famous Nizwa Fort. The Nizwa Souq has remained vibrant for hundreds of years and is home to a number of local industries. Next you will have a photo opportunity of the massive Bahla Fort, a UNESCO listed heritage site. Visit Jibrin Castle, (entrance included) a large rectangular building which can be distinguished by the inscriptions and frescoes that adorn its rooms. Next see Tanuf, the ruins of an old town which is located at the edge of Jabal Akhdar and at the mouth of wadi Tanuf.

Day 21 Nizwa - Wahiba Desert Experience (approx. 230km day)

Today visit Al Manzifat, a village in ruins. The narrow alleys

enhance the traditional architecture of the village where it was necessary to protect itself against the raids and tribal wars during the Middle Ages. Next, drive past date plantations to reach the magnificent Wadi Bani Khalid, Oman’s desert oasis. The pools are cool, deep and absolutely stunning; feel free to plunge in and experience the crystal clear waters.

Afterwards arrive at the entrance of Wahiba Sands. The dunes stretch 200km to the Arabian Sea. You can take the opportunity to venture up the high dunes to witness an unforgettable desert sunset. Afterwards be transferred by 4x4 to the camp.

Day 22 Wahiba Desert Camp - Muscat (approx. 250km day)

Today after breakfast, witness the coastal city of Sur. Visit the dhow factory (traditional sailing vessels) to see the construction of traditional wooden boats. Enjoy time to take a photo opportunity at Ayjah Lighthouse and Wadi Shab.

Marvel at the freshwater cascading from the top of the mountains where it meets the briny seawater on its banks, creating an environmental diversity unique to this wadi. Stop at Bimmah Sinkhole, a deep natural depression filled with water. The locals say that a meteor fell on this spot resulting in the natural depression and forming a small lake. This evening enjoy your last night in Muscat.

An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour

leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES

Mediterranean and the Middle East:

The Mediterranean can expect 20°C daytime maximum temperatures with an average of 5 hours of sunshine per day. Dubai and Oman are hot, dry and windy year round. November weather is pleasant in the Middle East, with temperatures of around 18°C to 31°C, with an average of 25°C, paired with very little humidity.

FLIGHTS

Seat Selection & Frequent Flyer Points:

At TripADeal we do not arrange seat selection. It is important to highlight that some Airlines do not allow pre-selected seats. We strongly suggest you contact the Airline directly with seating allocation requirements and or arrive at the airport earlier to arrange your seating. While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the Airline once you have your flight information.

Passport Validity:

Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase, or no later than 45 days prior to departure date. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the booking. In this instance customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred.

CRUISE

Disembarkation:

- Begins approximately 2 hours after docking.

- Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing.

- Itineraries are subject to change at any time without notice.

- Check your specific sailing for exact departure and arrival times. All times are local to the port.

Cruise Loyalty Discounts:

Please note: Travellers booked via TripADeal will not be entitled to receive any cruise line customer loyalty discounts. Similar to airline frequent flyer programs, this is outside of the TripADeal booking process. However, customers may contact the cruise line direct upon receiving their TripADeal travel documents to request any membership benefits they are entitled to.

Luggage:

You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of the luggage from the coach.

OTHER

Fitness Level Required / Mobility:

Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so unfortunately, our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile.

Please note: a general level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.

Gratuities / Tipping:

Land Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour and in Italy are at the customer’s discretion. In Oman the recommended tip is $10USD per person per day this covers the guide/leader and the driver,



and will be collected whilst on tour.

Cruise Pre-paid gratuities onboard the cruise are included in the package price. Any optional extras purchased onboard the cruise will have up to an 18% gratuity added.

Sightseeing:

Please note: In the event entrance to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary will be adjusted to ensure you do not miss out on the experience.

Shopping :

Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all of your receipts.

Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader.

VISAS

20 Day Package Europe

A tourist visa is not required for Europe for stays up to 90 days if travelling on an Australian passport.

Jordan

A visa for Jordan will be granted on arrival if participating in an ‘onshore excursion’ and managed by the cruise company while on the tour if travelling on an Australian passport.

United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Australian passport holders are eligible for a free 30-day visitor visa-on-arrival.

24 Day Package Oman

A visa for Oman is a strict requirement if travelling on an Australian passport). Obtain a visa before arrival on the following web site: www.evisa.rop.gov.om

*Short Stay Oman Tourist Visa available for 5 OMR (approx. 15 USD) for 10-day stay

*Long Stay Oman Tourist Visa available for 20 OMR (approx. 55 USD) for 30-day stay

United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Australian passport holders will need to pay a border crossing fee of 35 AED upon exiting the UAE and entering Oman.

Important: Please start arranging your visa at least 3 weeks prior to departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours.

Please note: Passengers who are not Australian citizens must check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required. It is also important to note, some areas of employment such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations may have additional restrictions in applying for Visas. This may in turn affect the type of application required.

This includes booking changes requested by you, including but not limited to those changes requiring an airline ticket or a Purchase Confirmation reissue.

· 1st Change - $100.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· 2nd Change - $150.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· Subsequent changes - $250.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· Changes within 30 days of departure $350.00 person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· Changes within 14 days of departure $500.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

Name Changes Due To Passenger Error

· If the incorrect name has been advised to TripADeal, charges of $150.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.
