One of Mother Nature’s most simple, elegant, and powerful examples of movement, wind, is the inspiration for Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design principle. What others believe are premium safety features, we believe should be standard. Safety is not a luxury, but a necessity. Every Accent comes standard with six airbags1, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS)2, and front active head restraints. One of the most important aspects of safety is prevention – and that’s why so much research has been put into our class-leading braking technology. The Accent is the only car in its class to offer 4-wheel disc brakes as standard (sub-compact class). Also standard is Anti-lock braking with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. EBD recalibrates the braking force between front and rear wheels to maximize stopping ability, and Brake Assist ensures that maximum braking force is applied when you need it most.

The primary measure of a small car is fuel consumption, and the Hyundai Accent is at the top of its game. With superior Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine technology, the Accent is able to precisely control the injection of fuel and delivers an impressive 138 horsepower, 123 lb-ft of torque and 5,2L/100 km (AT) highway fuel economy. If it can make you go further, we’ve incorporated it: an offset crankshaft design, an electronic throttle control, and even low-rolling resistance silica tires that reduce friction with the road. It all adds up to greater fuel efficiency.

Mirror-Mounted Turn Signal. With large side-view mirrors, the Accent offers drivers a wide view of rear and side-rear traffic for added safety, while available side repeater lights alert other drivers to your intentions when turning or changing lanes.

Heated Seats. A welcomed luxury to the 2013 Accent are front heated seats that makes staying warm easier than ever. (Standard on GL and GLS models.)

Power Sunroof. Add a wide open swatch of sky to your driving experience with an available power tilt-and-slide, one-touch glass sunroof.
