Create Walk-Around

View

Create a circular walk around view of the room that focus on a specific point

and provide your customers with a QuickTime file of their project so they can

view the room at any angle. The new Traveling Camera option is available

from the Panoramic View dialog.

Rotation

Easily rotate an isometric view from the rendering based of the initial viewer

position.

Directly publish room designs from 20-20 Design V9 to the 2020.net website

for customers to review and validate online. Customers can zoom and rotate

room layouts, while personalizing the decor for the walls and ceiling colors

and floor covering.

*May not be available in Version 9. If not, will be available in a Service Pack.

3. Closet and

Furniture Module

Design Closet and

Furniture

Design furniture “on the fly”. Using parts, users can easily snap components

with automatic and smart connection points and build an entire closet

cabinet. Not only limited to closet, users can use the same functionality to

build audio-video cabinets and entertainment systems. Every Business Unit

will have the flexibility to include or not this module in the standard V9. If not

included, the Closet catalogs will be locked by default and can be unlock for

selected users by updating their security device remotely.

4. Countertop

Enhancements

Countertop Wizard The Countertop Wizard supports the sales process for the solid/stone

countertop and promotes collaboration between fabricator and retailer

throughout the design process. At every step, the Countertop Wizard

validates the design against the information and rules specified by a

fabricator or manufacturer. The Countertop Wizard is a set of tools that

allows you to:

• Guide users through the design process using an intuitive and logical

step-by-step approach

• Quickly estimate the price of a countertop

• Reduce customers quote errors

• See a graphical representation of countertops, backsplashes and

edges

• Up sale your project by offering different options on the countertop

like trivet rods and drain boards

Automatic Cut Out

Dimensions

Obtain complete automatic cut out dimensions when a sink is place or for any

types of seams. It is possible to get precise dimensions such as illustrated on

this graphic:

5. Idea Center

Design Libraries Gather the best of your creations with the Idea Center. The Idea Center

facilitates the idea search process allowing you to browse and select pre-

configured designs or any space configuration such as an island to quickly

create new designs. Ideas are categorized and sorted by criteria to help you

find the right idea quickly and efficiently. Use the default criteria’s or create

yours that you have defined. By creating designs with the Idea Center, you

can save a tremendous amount of time.

Design Library

Update

Manufacturer’s catalogs are always updated; the Idea Center is synchronized

with catalog updates. This means that if a cabinet is modified, or is not

available anymore, or the pricing has changed, the existing designs available

in the Idea Center will be updated with the updated catalogs.

Profiles

Share 20-20 Virtual

Showroom Profiles

via 2020.net

Manufactures create profiles for their dealers, those profiles contain door

styles and finishes that the manufacturer offers and which the customer can

play around with. Via 2020.net, the dealers retrieve the manufacturer’s

profiles and use them within 20-20 Design V9 and with 20-20 Virtual

Showroom. With the manufacturers’ profiles work faster within 20-20 Virtual

Showroom.

7. New Features and

Improved Catalog

Windows and Doors

Resizable Trims

When a door or/and window is place on a floor plan, this item has a trim

around. With 20-20 Design V9, it is now possible to change the trims

dimensions to reflect the reality to be more accurate and precise. This feature

will reduce the risk of design and ordering errors.

Quick Placement of

Doors and Windows

If you usually place the same door or window model on you design, this

feature is a time-saver as they are set as your default. Drag and drop the door

or window on the floor plan and easily set the hinge and window opening.

New Door Styles A range of 70 new door styles is available. Dealers will be able to design with

the exact illustration of the manufacturer’s door style.

Group catalogs by manufacturer allowing you to find and place an item faster.

New Accessories and

Decorative Items

During an interior design project, the overall look besides the kitchen itself is

also very important; this is why 20-20 adds new up to date accessories such

as bathroom fixtures, furniture, lamps or decorative items and much more in

the version. With 20-20 Design V9, get over 300 new accessories.

Elevation View You can now easily identify which wall is associated with any elevation view.

Just select any wall in your floor plan view and the corresponding elevation

view will be highlighted with a green outline.

Switch Outdated

Items

When a catalog is updated, the existing designs that contain outdated items

can be updated automatically when loading a design.

Zoom Extents By double-clicking on the mouse wheel automatically view the extents of your

layout.

Get a fast access to a Product Specification Page directly through the

Attributes dialog.

Drawing Layout

Template

Drawing Layout templates can now be fully customized by the user to display

predefined views automatically. An automatic isometric view has been added

to the list of available views.

8. Partnership CadSoft The 20-20/Cadsoft solution allows customers who use Cadsoft’s Envisioneer

software the ability to pass data to the 20-20 Design system, thus saving time

in having to redraw the structure. The design can then be pass back to

Envisioneer for inclusion in the total project.
