The American Collegiate Invitational, now in its second year, began in 2014 as a way to spotlight college tennis during the US Open. It features eight men and eight women – a collection of some of the best American college tennis players from the previous season – each playing single-elimination singles tournaments, with wild card entries into next year’s US Open, as well as other future USTA Pro Circuit events, on the line.

The men’s/women’s American Collegiate Invitational champions will receive main draw wild card entries into the 2016 US Open if either is ranked No. 120 or better by the US Open entry deadline next summer. Otherwise, the winners will receive qualifying wild cards. The champions will also get wild cards into two USTA Pro Circuit events, while each runner-up will get one.
