The Wallace Way The woodcarving trail is designed to take visitors
on a journey through time to learn more about Stirling’s fascinating history as they ascend the Abbey Craig, the
300ft hill that leads to the famous landmark.
Moments in history, from the ice age through to the building of the Monument itself, are depicted in the
sculptures, which were created by Iain Chalmers.

The Wallace WayA trail that takes you from the Visitor Reception Centre to The National Wallace Monument, featuring unique woodcarvings. (Allow 15 to 20 minutes.)
The Stirling TrailThe woodland walk leads to a viewpoint overlooking Stirling and the Castle. From here you can return to the Monument, or continue to re-join the path back to the Car Park. (Allow 35 minutes.)
The Abbey TrailA complete walk around the Abbey Craig, re-joining the path back to the Car Park. (Allow 45 minutes.)
