What different social group is represented?

In my magazine, the social group I represent is a mix ofmales and females, in the“older teenage” age. Some arewell known stars, others are‘upcoming artists’ andOthers are hopeful musicfans/youtube artists.

What particular way are they represented?

I represented the people inthis group as a youthful, hopeful and energetic. Giving them the recentstardom personality, with the idea they have only just stepped into the stardom, so there personality's are still similar to those of original teenagersin this ‘pop music fan’ genre. Giving an innocent yet ambitious representationto them. I also wanted to add humour and fun to them to show a bubbly happyPersonality relating to the mast head of the double page spread “Who’s laughing now?”

How is this shown? To do this, when styling the models I used, Ikept to a ‘simple yet colourful’ look, relatingto the type of clothing I knew of fans of thepop genre to wear. I used colours similar tothe magazine theme (blues, reds, pinkswhites) on both male and female models anddidn't go for colours to bright to keep to theolder teenager genre, making sure theyseemed mature enough to the audience. Ikept the make-up plain and natural to give thisrepresentation that nothing much haschanged for them, to suggest this ‘brand newpop star,’ look, which I also showed throughpull quotes in my double page spread, “I’m stilla normal teenager,” I used props such as theguitar to suggest there music ability and keeninterest.

Why is each social group represented in this way?

I wanted to representthe social groups this wayto go against the typicalstereotype of teenagersbeing hoodies, involved inCrime by presenting amuch more positive, happy image of teenagers.Using props and music equipmentto show teenagers have otherinterests then the ones the mediaportrays.I
