AIM

To study the role of MRI in the staging of carcinoma cervix

OBJECTIVES

1. To determine the stage of carcinoma cervix by MRI

2. To compare the MRI based stage of carcinoma cervix with clinical

FIGO stage

MRI has been gaining increasing use for pretreatment staging of uterine

cervical carcinoma; however, it is not yet accepted as a gold standard.9,10,11

We planned to compare MRI and clinical staging of cancer cervix using the

FIGO protocol.
