WHERE: Glasgow FOR FANS OF: The Coral, Vampire Weekend, The View JIM SAYS: The Imagineers’ folk-tinged indie pop has made them one of Scotland’s biggest buzz bands, with music industry insiders taking serious note. Each track on their new EP See As I Say stands up in its own right. The brilliant Imagineer might be considered the lead track, but there are certainly no fillers. Delightful harmonies and infectious melo- dies give them an edge over other bands on the scene and guest violinists Miranda and Elspeth help create a wonderful live effect. They are one of the acts chosen to perform at Holyrood on July 1 for the opening of the Fourth Session of the Scottish Parliament. Before then, they host their own free night, The Imagineers Circus, at Stereo in Glasgow next Friday. Forthcoming dates also include a Highlands & Islands tour at the end of July taking in Inverness, Stornoway and Thurso.
