BRAM A had no idea what would eventually happen when God called him. He was simple enough to just take the risk of obedience. One wonders whether he had a premonition of what

God had in store for his future. Was he just a lovely agreeable man? Regardless of his imperfections it turned out that as this simple man descendant from idolaters- now Abraham- continued to walk with God, incredible promises and privileges were granted him. He simply trusted God, took His word literally and waited for God to do His own part. He was declared righteous, friend of God and the father of faith. When the zealous and legalistic Saul became the miraculously transformed Paul he wasted no time in getting to work. Whatever his current conviction, level of revelation, clarity of inspiration Paul depended on the certainty of his experience with God, unfailing manifestation of His power and the unshakable promises of God’s word backed up by power. His past did not matter. His nationality, political privileges, academic standing and career achievements became irrelevant. It was easy to give everything and anything up, and rather please Jesus Christ instead. He would do anything to help God transform one human life at a time! Paul added faith to zeal. He understood the task at hand.

These individuals of like passion to you and I probably had the time and opportunity to analyze and scrutinize God’s deal. Just like you, they had a choice. They must have had the opportunity to slow down, reflect, and refocus their priorities. Was God being fair? Were they getting a fair deal? What are the small prints?

Simon Peter probably imagined it was somewhat a waste of time and resource to permit the simple but forthright Nazarene preacher a single use his fishing boat. After all the novelty might lighten the misery of a

hard day's toil that produced no meaningful catch of fish (Luke 5). He displayed a bit of faith, and sprinkled a bit of patience. Alongside his fishermen brethren they became fishers of men’s souls, and solid reference points in the history of God’s relationship with man!

God may not have changed your name. You may not even know all the promises He has made for you. Maybe you do not even know whether in God’s big plan there is a missing jigsaw puzzle that you could fill. You may not even feel you are the same kind of flesh and blood that those historic and mighty people in the bible were.

God thinks He could use your measure of faith, and zeal, and patience, and time, and effort, and friendship! Whatever you have goes a long way in building up not only the RCCG Everlasting Father’s Arena in York, England, but also the Body of Christ.

So whether you have no choice or are just gullible and ‘lucky’ like Abraham; pragmatic and crude like the Hebrew fishermen; or well connected, privileged, intellectual and astute like Paul: God can use your measure of faith.

For God it is refreshingly reassuring that your fears, conflicts, contradictions, imperfections, education, background and other excuses are irrelevant. Your amount of faith is exactly what God needs, as long as you are willing to partner with Him. I invite you to take the beautiful risk of obeying God’s word. He craves the benefit of your indulgence. The task ahead of us is so important; we need all the faith we can muster into action.

Who could speculate what about you God will chose to change? Oh what prospects come attached to your faith in this present task!

Congratulations

reat is the Lord, and He is worthy to be praised forever. We thank Him for helping us to see this glorious 1st year Ganniversary of the Everlasting Father’s Arena, York. We know

that it can only be God. The scripture says, do not despise the day of small beginning, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin (Zechariah 4:10). It does not matter how small you are, God is about to do a new thing for you. Small beginning often requires strong faith and hard work for whatever you embark upon to succeed. We thank God for He has been encouraging us, and He has not allowed us to be weary. He has supported us, and has provided for our needs throughout this past year.

We are so thankful to the Lord for the mission He has commissioned through us in the City of York. He has declared a new thing for the City of York, and we are fully persuaded that, He will continue to do and complete what He has planned to do. It has been an exciting opportunity to be able to serve Him. We bless Him for the grace and strength. I would like to thank my loving wife, Aramide for her support, patience and understanding. I have come to realise that the work would not have been easy without the support of my family. Thank you to my children, all of them have become workers in the vineyard almost from the first day.

The first service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Everlasting Father’s Arena, York was held on Sunday 19th August 2012, following the inspiration of Pastor Samuel Obafaiye of the RCCG, Everlasting Father’s Assembly, Leeds. By the grace of God, we are grateful for the commitment of the Lord’s greatest couple and friends, Dr and Dr (Mrs) Sanusi. Before the commencement of the Everlasting Father’s Arena, we held house fellowship sessions at our residence, Dr Yomi Sanusi’s residence and a few other locations in York between 2011 and 2012. The fellowship later moved to the Department of Mathematics, James College, University of York, and we bless Him for the awesomeness of His power. Blessed is the Lord God, for He visited and redeemed us in an awesome way. He has been excellent to us as His children in His vineyard. We have experienced growth and promotion on all sides. The Lord has blessed us with all manners of blessings.

Looking back over the events of this past year reminds us of how much God has accomplished in our midst. The Lord has indeed been looking after us, and we are indeed grateful for His marvellous hands in our life. From the bottom of my heart, I will like to appreciate the willingness of our men and women, particularly, Dr and Dr (Mrs) Sanusi, Sister Blessings Uwa, Sister Maria Awoleye, Sister Lilian Smart and many more who I cannot mention here. We are so blessed with many willing workers, some who let God take ownership of their cars, and those who gave up their holidays to be available to sing in the choir, others who opened their doors for fellowship meetings, some who walked in on the first day and worked for the Lord and many who gave their money to support the mission, God will bless you richly, He will reward you beyond your thoughts and you will be lifted up beyond your imagination in Jesus name.

In the course of August 2012 – October 2013, God has seen many of our members through their various academic degrees with excellence. He has brought into His house valuable members who have been working tirelessly to build His kingdom. He has lifted our ministers up in their career ladder, He has also shown favour to our ministers and members in various examinations undertaken, on top of that our children are doing excellently in the knowledge of God and their educations. We have lots of testimonies to share, praise the Lord.

On reflection, the first year of my pastorate is a time of learning, although, I have been involved in church planting in another ministry in the Republic of Ireland before, I think it is a bit different when God has put you in charge. To this end, I would like to thank everyone who has provided resources and support, most especially, Pastor Samuel and Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye. God will always raise helpers for you in Jesus name. Having spent this year getting to learn and know the ministry and management, I pray that the coming year will be one of growth, love, testimonies and manifestation of new things prepared by the Lord for the Everlasting Father’s Arena.

Finally, please join me to pray that, the Lord will manifest and declare a new thing in our church in 2014 and beyond in Jesus name. That even though, our beginning was small, yet our latter end shall greatly increase in Jesus name (Job 8:7). Praise the Lord.

HERET is a need to emphasize whose presence we are talking about for the sake of clarity. He is the KING of Kings, the LORD of Lords, the PRINCE OF PEACE, the OMNIPOTENT, OMNISCIENT,

OMNIPRESENT God, the ANCIENT OFDAYS, the ROCK OF AGES, the PRESIDENT OF Presidents... I could go on and on. When I say IN HIS PRESENCE, I mean spending time with Him, speaking to Him and listening to Him.

WHY do we need to go into His Presence one might ask? He seeks those who will come into His presence (worship Him, spend time with Him) John 4v23. Being with Him is the right thing amidst all the distractions we are faced with today Luke 10v 38-42.

WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF HIS PRESENCE?There are so many reasons why we need His Presence and they cannot be exhausted here.

Some of them are: - We know Him moreWe all have friends and you will agree with me that the friend you know more is the one you have spent more time with. If we are to know Him more then there's no other way to do so but to spend time in His presence.= We get directions and instructions for our livesUntil you know the voice of your instructor, there is a tendency to ignore his instructions. It will be very easy to pick out the voice of someone you know too well even in a crowd. It is in knowing Him that we know His voice, trust his directions and are more receptive to his instructions. - We reflect His gloryIn Psalm 106v19-20, a calf was what the people worshiped (spent time

In HIS PresenceBy Sister Blessings Uwa

with) and we are made to understand that they exchanged their glory for that of the calf. From this, we can infer that we reflect the glory of whatever or whoever we spend time with. In spending time with God, we reflect His glory. - We become more like Him (Transformed Into His Image)When we see two people that are always together, after some time, we begin to say they look alike as is the case with married couples after so many years together. Same applies to us when we spend time with God. We are transformed more and more into His image, and when people see you, they see Him in you. - We receive our desires. The Bible makes us to understand in 1John 5v13-15 that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us and will give us what we ask for. When we spend time with Him, we are in tune with Him (one with Him). Our desires are in tune with his desires for us.

WHERE CAN I FIND HIS PRESENCE?A lot of people have the notion that God's presence can be found in a place (in most cases church). How wrong they are. When God gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit, He made us carriers of His presence. His presence is therefore wherever we are. But we must realize that spending time in His presence is a conscious decision on our part. It's our ability to take out time to fellowship with Him and to be quiet in this busy world and hear Him speak to us. If you haven't made that conscious decision already, NOW is the time to do so. Remember He is seeking for you and me to spend time with Him.Keep basking IN HIS PRESENCE.

WOULDI like to wish all the mothers and ladies in the house here today a very happy mother’s day. The Lord will fill your joy in Jesus name, Amen.

Introduction: Mother’s day is our day of celebration. It is a day for all women to rejoice and bless God. It is a day to give thanks for the life of all our mothers and for those who have encouraged us in life by playing mothering role. It does not matter whether you are single or married, the Lord will make you a great mother in Jesus name. If you are single, the Lord will give you the bone of your bone and the flesh of your flesh in Jesus name, and, your tomorrow would be great in Jesus name.

Mother’s day is an opportunity for children to honour their mum, and for fathers to give their wives a rest, praise them, pray for them and of course, give them a day off from house chores. It is a day when every lady, married or not, should look back and give glory to God for His goodness and kindness. It is a day to rekindle your love for your family and to love God more. However, some people may find today very difficult, due to the fact that they have lost their mother or they have not had the best mother. The Lord will comfort you, and you would make the best mother to your children in Jesus name.

In Exodus 2: 1-10, we can see here, how Jochebed, went to hide Moses for three months. The reason for this action was to protect him from being slaughtered or killed by Pharaoh. Pharaoh failed in his bid to waste the destiny of God concerning Moses according to his decree, God turned the situation around for Moses. I pray that the destiny of your family will not be wasted in Jesus name. This woman called Jochebed was a woman of virtue and made history by this single decision. She was even paid by Pharaoh’s daughter to look after her own child, a woman of history, a woman of honour and a woman of understanding. She recognised that the will of God for Moses was greater and bigger than any decree made or given by any Pharaoh.

The role of a mother or a woman is unending and limitless

Proverb 14:1: A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands. This means:

i. A woman must provide strength and support for their family. ii. They must be diligent. iii. They must learn to tolerate situations and people. iv. They must be creative. v. They are the one who wakes up when it is dark (Proverbs 31:15) vi. They must be the helper to their husband vii. They must be submissive viii. They must honour God.

Examples of women who demonstrated the attributes as above:Ruth 1:13-16 13 would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the LORD’s hand has turned against me!” 14 At this they wept aloud again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her. 15 “Look,” said Naomi, “your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her.” 16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 1. Ruth made history with her faith: In Ruth 1:1-16, we saw how Ruth was so determined to follow Naomi after the death of her husband. Even though, she did not know what was to come her way, she demonstrated a strong faith. She was so determined to follow Naomi to everywhere and to her country. She said wherever she goes,

s h e w o u l d follow. Ruth was a virtuous woman . No matter what h a p p e n s , a woman should b e l o y a l , h o n o u r t h e plan of God and be ready to stand by their family. Ruth provided strength for Naomi and her f a i t h f u l n e s s was rewarded when she met Boaz. Women, you must be faithful and diligent and God of heaven will reward you in Jesus name. Ruth made a great history and today it is your own turn as a woman to do the same. The Lord will honour you in Jesus name.

2. Hannah’s prayer life and the ability to tolerate situations rewarded: In 1 Samuel 1:1-28, we were able to see how Hannah was going through a terribly difficult time. The scripture recorded that she was unable to have a child due to bareness. Every form of bareness in your life is removed in Jesus name. The situation here is that, she had been condemned into the prison of bareness in the eyes of families and friends, she was called all sorts of names – people would want to call you names, but the Lord would make you a virtuous woman in Jesus name. But she went year after year and focused on God almighty, praying and singing and the Lord gave her a Samuel. What do you do as a woman when trouble comes? Clearly, Hannah was sorrowful, provoked and no way of escape for her, especially when her husband’s second wife (Peninah) already bore a child. Most women in this situation would turn away from God, blaming Him for their problems but Hannah, being a great woman of virtue focused and prayed to God of heaven. She lifted her soul to Him and the Lord opened her womb. She prayed to God for a son and the Lord answered her in a precise way. The Lord is in your situation. He will glorify Himself in your life in Jesus name. You will not be put to shame in Jesus name.

Conclusion: To be able to change your family and make impact on the world, your need to aspire to be like Ruth and Hannah. They provided strength and support, they were diligent. They tolerated insults and rebuke; never despised their husbands and the Lord showed them great favour. The Lord will show you favour in Jesus name.

Prayer Points:O Lord, make me a virtuous woman and a successful woman in Jesus nameO Lord, grant me power and strength to be able to honour you in Jesus name.

HE RCCG Everlasting Father's Arena children's section is truly thriving. We currently have children with ages between 3 and 8years. Each Sunday is an exciting one with activities like singing T

gospel songs, reading bible stories, learning about praying and establishing a relationship with God. We pray that God will grant our children wisdom and divine understanding of His word. Mathew 19:14 But Jesus said, let little children come to me, and do not hinder them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.

HERE T are several reasons why a man becomes fearful. Fear

comes upon a man mainly when he feels that what has confronted him is greater than himself. We become fearful when we see or think that we are little than what has come our way.

In the Bible, we have examples of people and even great men of God who became fearful because they felt that what has confronted them is bigger than what they could handle. Elijah was a prophet of very high standard. He had great command and authority in Israel. But it came to a time when Jezebel declared that he was going to kill Elijah in 24 hours. It suddenly dawn on Elijah that he was all alone against the whole Land. This wrong knowledge made him to run away and ask God to take his life (I Kgs 19:1-4).Thank God, Elijah was sent back to where he ran away from to teach him a lesson never to be afraid of being little (I Kgs 19:14-16).Any Jezebel that is scaring you, may God silence it/him/her. May God dethrone all powers that are making you afraid in Jesus name.God delivered the Israelites into the hands of the Midianites because of their disobedience. By Divine appointment, it was Gideon that was chosen by God to rescue the Israelites from bondage. Gideon was however very fearful because of his personal smallness and family poverty as well as collective inability (Jug 6: 11-16).What are you afraid of because of your smallness? Go in the might of God and you will overcome. Are you sceptical of starting something because of lack of funds? God will miraculously provide for you in Jesus name. Do you regard your group to be too small to achieve any feat? God will multiply your efforts and you will subdue the Midianites around you in Jesus name.

One day Elisha servants woke up from sleep and discovered that he and his master have been rounded up by Syrian soldiers. He was so afraid, not because of the soldiers that surround them, but because he perceived that the enemies were greater than them. Elisha had to pray to God to open the inner eyes of his servants to see the Hosts of heaven on their own side, then he became pacified (II Kgs. 6: 15-17).Who are the Syrians that have encompassed you? May the Almighty God blindfold them in Jesus name. May God open your inner eyes to see the hosts of heaven on your side in Jesus name. The Israelites were terrorised by the Philistines for forty days just because there were no one big enough to confront Goliath. They would have become a slave to the Philistines, if God had not arranged David to visit the battle front (I Sam. 17: 1-11).How big is your contender? It may be bigger than you, but God is definitely bigger. Trust in the Lord like David and your Goliath will fall at your feet in Jesus name. The problem with the 10 spies to Canaan was not that they were irrational; it was that they let the fear of being little to overwhelm their faith. The threat was real, but help was more real. May help come for you. May you not give in to fear of known or unknown in Jesus name. The special word that God gave me for this assembly this morning is that ‘Fear not; little flock’. He said He has also given you the kingdom (Luke 12:32). The kingdom of God is yours; the kingdom of York is equally yours. We need to rise up to take this City at once, and may the Almighty God deliver it into our hands in Jesus name.PrayersAlmighty Father, let me not experience grasshopper mentality in life.Almighty Father, do not let my stature, finance, health, social status, etc make me fearful in life.Almighty Father, as little as I might seem or look, let me be very effective in life.* Pastor Samuel Obafaiye is the Pastor of RCCG Everlasting Father’s Assembly, Leeds

The Fear Of Being LittleBy Pastor SamuelObafaiye

RETHRENB God has programmed your life the same way a computer is programmed. He has loaded your life with software for victory. He has granted you victory in all areas of life. You may

not understand it, but your mind is renewed and conditioned for greatness in Jesus name. Now the question is whether you are prepared to activate the programmes the Lord has installed into your life. The meaning of programme is to comprehensively install a process that can change a particular formulation to an executable activity. The reason for programming is to ensure a set of instruction will perform a specific task when activated. In other word, if the programme is not activated, the task will not run. Likewise, if Christians fail to recognise the fact that they are a finished product, they will continue to work and operate in mediocrity and defeat. I pray that you will live to fulfill the plan of God in Jesus name. (Jeremiah 29:11)God has already crowned and installed you with every blessing. All you have to do is to go ahead and activate the programmes of God for your life. Start acting out His anointing upon your life. He wants you to walk in your victory, healing, wealth and joy. You need to begin to speak like a blessed man and woman. You are a package of blessing, and not a failure. Ephesians 1:3, 3 John 1:2, 1 Corinthians 2:9-10.The scripture teaches us to be rest assured that we have been endowed with everything we require to succeed in life. If you have been successful in so many areas of life, be rest assured that the best is yet to come. Henceforth, your outdated programme will be updated in Jesus name. From today onward, you will never be the same again in Jesus name. Your life will listen to the command of God’s programme in Jesus name.Jesus stated that you are what you believe, therefore, if you believe that God has worked out your turn around, and He has said to you that you are more than a conqueror, what exactly are you wondering about? He has programmed you, equipped you and renewed you like an eagle. You will never be defeated in Jesus name. For God’s programme to be activated in your life, you must be sensitive and be ready to stand for God. For example, it is possible for the gates to be shut without realising it. It is possible to have the feeling

that you have come to the bus stop of life. You are not alone. God is with you at all times. It happened to the Israelites. In Joshua 6:1 – ‘Now Jericho was straitly shut up because o f the children of Israel; none went out; and none came in. But when you hearken to God, the walls of Jericho will fall flat for you, and, you will be able to possess your possession in Jesus name. God is able to turn defeat into victory - (Joshua 7: 1-3). Victory is a term synonymous to success. Everyone wants victory in life, an athlete desire to become champion and break records, but God has to have his hands in their programme. Things don’t just happen by accident. Esther became a queen just because God had already written it into her destiny. Delay is not a denial: The fact that the Israelite withdrawn from the battle front when the solders from Ai struck them does not mean they lost confidence. It was an opportunity for them to get back to God, so they could be re-built and re-programmed. Likewise, Christians go through rough patches, and it would seem as if we would never be able to come out at the other end, God is in control. Remember, you are a God finished product, and His products can never be faulty or disappointed. You will come out of every issues of life in good time in Jesus name. God is able to activate the dormant programme in your life: It may well be that the programme of God is dormant in your life, then you will need to pray, and God will re-activate it. When the oppression was too much for Hezekiah, he had to pray, and God heard him. (2 King 19:7).Brethren, get ready to update the programmes of heaven for your life. Go back to the source if you feel your programme is expired or dormant. The Lord will bless your life in Jesus name.
