DESCRIPTION

The ATIS4all Thematic Network seeks to facilitate everyone’s access to the most suitable Assistive Technology (AT) or accessibility device and service according to their needs and preferences and contextual characteristics (e.g. ICT solution, environment constraints, user device, language, etc.) by means of an open, collaborative portal offering reliable information on AT products, inclusive solutions and R&D initiatives in this field and fostering online discussion, exchange of knowledge and expertise, and sharing of information among key actors and end users.The first workshop “Foundations of ATIS4all” will take place in Madrid on 14-15 March 2011.

PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENTThe ATIS4all Thematic Network seeks to facilitate everyone’s access to the most suitable Assistive Technology (AT) or accessibility device and service according to their needs and preferences and contextual characteristics (e.g. ICT solution, environment constraints, user device, language, etc.) by means of an open, collaborative portal offering reliable information on AT products, inclusive solutions and R&D initiatives in this field and fostering online discussion, exchange of knowledge and expertise, and sharing of information among key actors and end users.

The first workshop “Foundations of ATIS4all” will take place in Madrid on 14-15 March 2011 and it will be the definitive first push to the development of the WP1 tasks.
