What is WASCA?

• WASCA is the Wageningen Association of Colombian Alumni

• We are a Colombian-Dutch network of professionals formed by

alumni, students and employees of Wageningen University

• Non profit, non commercial, politically and religiously neutral

How did this initiative start?

•Growing interest of the Netherlands in Colombia specially in agro-environmental

topics

•We are one of the biggest groups of Colombians in the Netherlands, but unknown

•Life Sciences + Colombia + Wageningen UR

• Together we are a powerful force to transform the agro-environmental sector in

Colombia

Objectives of WASCA

• Mobilize and maintain a Colombian-Dutch network of agro-environmental professionals

•Generate opportunities to promote the sustainable development of Colombia
