Emirates Medical Students’ Society (EMSS) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit organization that was established in 2007 as a NMO of the IFMSA. The EMSS constitutes of four Local Committees that are represented by four colleges: Dubai Medical College, Gulf Medical University, RAK Medical & Health Sciences University, and University of Sharjah.

All committees are active in EMSS (SCOPE, SCOME, SCOPH, SCORA, SCORP) except for SCORE which we are working hard to activate in the near future.

SCOPE of EMSS is established since 2014 and 17 contracts were signed since its recent birth.

We may be a new born NMO, but we are working to make it the best event, full force!

The PRET is hosted in the United Arab Emirates in the city of Dubai. The UAE is a relatively new country by date but old in its cultural and traditional soul.

It constitutes of seven Emirates that are lined up along the coast of the Arabian gulf. It’s rich cultural diversity, especially in the city of Dubai, makes it one of the most visited destinations around the world.

(Psst: we have more nationalities living here than there are members of the UN).

Relative to other regions of the Arab world, especially on the Arabian Peninsula, Dubai is more relaxed in social mores and culturally attuned to various cultures.

By geography, Dubai is the second largest of the emirates. Its 4,114 square kilometers, are spread along the Persian Gulf and share borders with Oman to the southeast, Abu Dhabi to the south, and Sharjah to the northeast.

Dubai has become one of the world’s leading travel destinations over the last decade. It has also become an enchanting city and very popular among business travellers and event organizers. It’s a world-class holiday destination for those tourists seeking a relaxing beach holiday and a rich multicultural experience.

Whatever you are looking for you will definitely find along these golden sandy shores, whether it is authentic gulf traditions, rich Islamic culture, bustling cities, iconic skyscrapers or unforgettable adventures.

The PRET itself will be hosted at Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Centre (MBR-AMC) at Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC). The center is a dedicated academic com-plex, including The Al Maktoum Medical Library, Dubai College of Dental Medicine and The Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Medical Simulation Center.

It was established to improve the access and quality of healthcare education within Dubai and UAE. In delivering that purpose, one of the main functions of DHCC is to promote high standards of medical education and training so that patients now and in the future can be confident that they will receive safe, high quality medical care from trained professionals.

The MBR-AMC now has the infrastructure in place to become a hub for world-class healthcare education in Dubai, UAE and the region.

The centre is at the heart of Dubai Healthcare City and is a walking distance from the metro which can take you anywhere in Dubai.

BURJ KHALIFA:A SKY-HIGH EXPERIENCE

Standing at an eye-watering 828 metres high, the Burj Khalifa is hard to miss. The tallest building on the planet naturally dominates the Dubai skyline, but the true majesty of the building is best appreciated up close – or, even better, from inside. On a clear day, the view from the observation deck on level 125 is absolutely stunning, bettered only by that of the view from the luxurious At The Top Sky Lounge on the 148th floor.

And for those who would like to linger for a meal in the clouds, Atmosphere lounge on level 122 is the place to be.

THE DUBAI MALL:A MINI METROPOLIS

Just a hop, skip and a jump from Burj Khalifa is The Dubai Mall. To call the sprawling development merely a shop-ping mall is doing it a massive disser-vice. Even an entire day spent here isn't enough to see it all. This mall is the world’s largest shopping centre drawing tourists from all around the world. Not only is it the shopping epicentre, it hous-es the largest cinema hall in the country and many other attractions.

As well as its more than 1,200 shops and 150 restaurants, the venue is also home to: an indoor theme park; an ice rink; a 155-million-year-old dinosaur skeleton; a huge indoor waterfall; a luxury hotel; a choreographed fountain bigger than the one at Las Vegas’ Bellagio; and a Guin-ness record winning giant aquarium and underwater zoo, featuring sharks, sting-rays, penguins and many more exotic animals.

Don’t forget your cameras as sufficient time is allotted for participants to view the old and new sights across the wa-terfront. Experience an unforgettable evening with the beautiful combination of opulence and the breathtaking sense of tradition. Hop aboard and taste the national foods and drinks while glid-ing past the skyline of Dubai.
