METZlER Metzler was the home of spades tournaments, Hal
loween dances and other activ1t1es wh1ch took place throughout the year The second annual Halloween dance was held and considered a complete success.
Sitting right next door to B11t1nger Hall. Metzler had to put up w1th constant bang1ng and pound1ng by construction crews teanng down Bittinger Work often started early for the work crew , and served as an alarm clock for Metzler residents
For nonresidents of Metzler there was a different atmosphere start1ng w1th the s1gn at the front door People were greeted with a large "Welcome to the Doghouse· sign. and Chnstmas lights throughout the dorm. According to Damian Hams. sr.. the atmosphere of Metzler has become a place where students can ·mature While still relying on each other when one of us falls."

The volleyball team had a tough season with 1ts overall record bemg 1-25. They had the potential it took to wm but had a rough lime overtaking other teams. Although the team didn't 1m prove last year's record, 3-20, Coach Dan Hoffman was proud of them. "They really hung together as a team," he said.
The hve seniors that led the team were Andrea Bess, Jamye Brown, Amber Pfannenstiel, Melissa Sharp, and Jamie Smalley. The team was also comprised of two juniors, two sophomores. and seven freshmen.
The team will have a hard t1me replacing the five seniors who are leav1ng. However. if they can contmue to slick together and work hard. they will be a hard team to beat!
