The need
Challenges
Long distances (up to 1000 m) imply long transport times
Conventional moving walks at fixed speed (for example, 0.65 m/s) do not normally allow to make the travel in the desired time.
Conventional moving walks at high speed (for example, 1 m/s) are not safe in boardings.
To reduce the distances modifying, for example, the building distribution, is not always possible.
“Shuttle” type systems are not always a profitable solution for those distances.

Why is necessary?
Conventional moving walks are too slow for long distances
Conventional moving walks at high speed are dangerous in boardings
The combines high transport speed (2 m/s) in the area of high speed and at the same time the boardings are carried out at a safe speed for the passenger (0.65 m/s).

Life Cycle
144.000 hours (min. 20 years) for: chains, motor, handrail, worm shafts, pallets, structure, controller
Substitutions
Year 1 to year 10: substitution of broken comb plates, substitution of handrail parts and substitution of damaged hand rest sections (6 per year)
Year 11 to year 20: Same as previously mentioned and also the substitution of worm shafts, chains of main actioning and handrail cover
Maintenance Intervals
Similar to intervals of a conventional moving walk of high traffic
Energy Consumption
Approximately three more times than the conventional moving walk owing to the speed.
