grandes condicionantes; unentorno privilegiado, y el carcterespecial de un edicio de estatipologa y envergadura. The landscape helps tounderstand the hospitalconguration, a low-rise building

of horizontal developmentthat recognises the strongformal conditions of thehorizon of La Mancha. Se realiza una i ntervencion decarcter global sobre el actualcomplejo hospitalario. Un nuevoedicio de consultas externas,adosado al hospital a traves deun vestibulo longitudinal en doblealtura, genera una nueva fachadade todo el complejo. Se reformanlas plantas de hospitalizacin yparte del basamento, con 540camas y 11 quirofanos. Porltimo, se planea una ampliacinque continue el basamento,sobre la que se apoyan 4pastillas de hospitalizacion.

Se hatransformado la anterior cruzde la planta por un esquema deedicio de pabellones enlazadospor un elemento comn.

Mientras, eledicio, se organiza a traves depastillas longitudinales dispuestastransversalmente a la via, l acual cruzan, convirtindoseen un puente en los nivelessuperiores, e integrando formaly funcionalmente los espaciosgenerados.

The double use of the plot ofland with the tunneling of the

current Via-Park responds tothe convenience and need ofconstructing an urban basementthat is not only a parking areabut also in part a park, publicspace and ring road.
