I think there are two answers to this ques- on. The first is that Jesus asked us to spend me with Him, and secondly it will have great benefits for you and for our parish. When Jesus was in the garden praying before he was arrested he asked his Apostles to spend one hourwith Him in prayer. He wants us to spend me with Him. One may argue that we can do that anywhere and anyme during our day. That is true, yet we have a unique opportunity to be very close to Him in the Church, where He is present, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the sacra- ment of the Altar. Then when we have the sacred host exposed on the altar, we can gaze upon His sacred presence, and we can be very close to Him. This op- portunity helps us to enter into prayer with Him, and is a more inmate place to meet Him, than any other place that we pray. Seng a me during the week to spend one hourin Church praying, will be very beneficial to you, to your family and for our parish. Everyone has prayers to offer, and seng a me each week to bring these peons to Jesus will bring many blessings. I know people that have spent years going to adore Jesus in the sacrament of the Altar, and they look forward to that hour of the week, and they truly miss it, if for some reason they are not able to be there. That hour, becomes a persons sacred hour, and it is also a commitment made with Jesus, which brings a greater individual focus to loving and serving Jesus. I hope that many more will commit to spending an hour in prayer with Jesus, when the Knights of the Holy Eucharist come here in September. I hope that we can expand our adoraon me, and who knows, if there are enough people commied to Adoraon, we may even be able to have Adoraon in the cry room, and have easier access 24 hours a day! Dear Parishioners,

The topic in preparation for the visit of the Knights of the Holy Eucharist is “Why do we have Adoration”? I think there are two answers to this ques-tion. The first is that Jesus asked us to spend time with Him, and secondly it will have great benefits for you and for our parish.

When Jesus was in the garden praying before he was arrested he asked his Apostles to spend “one hour” with Him in prayer. He wants us to spend time with Him. One may argue that we can do that anywhere and anytime during our day. That is true, yet we have a unique opportunity to be very close to Him in the Church, where He is present, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the sacra-ment of the Altar. Then when we have the sacred host exposed on the altar, we can gaze upon His sacred presence, and we can be very close to Him. This op-portunity helps us to enter into prayer with Him, and is a more intimate place to meet Him, than any other place that we pray.

Setting a time during the week to spend “one hour” in Church praying, will be very beneficial to you, to your family and for our parish. Everyone has prayers to offer, and setting a time each week to bring these petitions to Jesus will bring many blessings.

I hope that we can expand our adoration time, and who knows, if there are enough people committed to Adoration, we may even be able to have Adoration in the cry room, and have easier access 24 hours a day! God Bless you.

“Little By Little”

Holiness can be intimidating, but if we take little steps every day, then little by little, we will get there. A challenge for the next few weeks to grow in holiness:

Make the sign of the Cross and enter into a short prayer two times a day.
