1996 GE-AUR Research Academic Fellowships Nominations General Electric (GE) and the Association of University Radiologists (AUR) announce that nominations are now being accepted for 1996 GE-AUR Radiology Research Academic Fellowships (GERRAFs). Up to five recipients will be selected to receive 2-year GERRAFs beginning with the July 1996 academic year. GERRAFs provide an annual stipend of $50,000 for 2 years to support original clinical and health services research in technology assessment, health and economic outcome methods, and decision analysis related to diag- nostic imaging. Recipients are chosen by an independent review board comprised of eminent academic and clinical radiologists, other physicians, and scholars in related fields. To qualify, prospective GERRAF candidates must be board-certified radiologists holding junior faculty appoint- ments at accredited radiology training institutions in the United States or Canada. Final selection criteria include the goal and quality of the proposed research project, the level of cooperation and commitment of sponsoring institu- tions, and the recommendations of mentors and colleagues. Qualifying institutions may nominate one GERRAF candidate each year. Information packages are being distrib- uted directly to all eligible institutions. The nomination deadline is October 31, 1995.
