1995-98 Nissan UD JR403 Jatco Code retrieval for 95-98 Nissan UD is performed using the shifter, O/D off switch and gas pedal in a sequence, and then reading the O/D lamp on the dash. Follow this procedure to initiate code retrieval: Warm engine to operating temp, turn off engine.
1. Set O/D switch to “on”, turn on ignition switch. 2. Does O/D light come on for approx. 2 seconds? Yes, turn off
ignition switch. 3. Be sure throttle pedal is released, place shifter in “drive”
position, turn O/D switch to “off”, turn back on ignition switch. 4. Place shifter into “2”, turn O/D switch to “on” 5. Place shifter in “1” position, turn O/D switch “off”, depress
throttle pedal fully and release. 6. The O/D light will now give the results of any trouble codes
present. If no codes will come on for 2 seconds and then go out. If codes present will flash 16 times to signal transmission codes.

remove fuse or batt. power to clear codes
1999-2004 Nissan UD Aisin 450-43LE The procedure for these trucks is different from earlier units, you must make a jumper connector and jump two wires together in harness found in the driver’s side kick panel.
1. With ignition off, jump 1-14 which is blue and yellow wire to connector 1-15 which is a black wire. Wires have an “A” tag on them as seen in the above picture. 2. Turn on ignition, don’t start the engine. 3. Look at “ATM” light on the dash. If no codes are present the ATM light will flash code “1” continuously.

To clear codes perform the following procedure:
1. Turn on ignition, don’t start engine. 2. Connect terminals 1-14 and 1-15 as before. 3. Make sure shifter is in “park” position. 4. Depress bake. 5. Depress throttle pedal to floor.
When codes are cleared from memory the “ATM” light will flash on and off at .2 second flashes for 10 seconds. If there’s problem with lever switch, pedal switch or brake switch this may not be successful.
