Chapter 24 members: WOW! The summer is almost over, but SME Chapter 24 is just heating up. We have some really exciting months planned for the rest of 2010, you won't want to miss.
Well, it's almost that time! Our annual Steak Bake. We will do a few things differently to spice it up. Included with the Steak Bake, the good folks at Hardinge have agreed to host the event on their grounds. We will have games, give-a-ways, fun, food. And as always, spouses and friends are welcome. This is a great time to invite potential new mem-bers. To attend, each person will need to purchase a ticket prior to the event so we can plan food properly. You can contact any of the officers for tickets (see next page).
There will be no meeting in September due to IMTS.
Starting in October, Carol Miller from AM&T will present on LEAN "Pull/Kanban Systems". What makes this really exciting is, in November, we will follow-up with a plant tour of Kennedy Valve, with the same topic. This will allow us to see this topic in action and how it may be able to af-fect your workplace.
Hope to see you at the next meeting.
