THE STARTING 5 - LIBERTY'S TOP STORYLINES• Liberty (11-8, 4-2 ASUN) will visit North Florida (11-8,
4-2 ASUN) Monday morning for a batt le for third place in the ASUN standings.
• Liberty will look to become the fi rst visiting team to win a game in the head-to-head series with the Os-preys. The home team won all three matchups last season, culminating with Liberty's triumph in the ASUN semifi nals.
• North Florida is 4-1 at home this year. Meanwhile, Lib-erty is 5-1 in its last six road contests.
• Keyen Green, the 2018 Big South Player of the Year, is making a successful return from an ankle injury which sidelined her for the entire 2018-19 season. The redshirt junior center is averaging 18.8 ppg during ASUN play, with 13.3 of those points coming after half-time. She has scored in double digits in all six ASUN contests and in seven straight contests overall.
• Junior point guard Ashtyn Baker scored a team-high 16 points during the Lady Flames' fi rst-ever win over Stetson on Saturday. She is averaging a career-best 10.1 ppg this season, and Liberty is 7-2 when she scores in double fi gures.

• Liberty will face North Florida for the fi rst time since defeat-ing the Ospreys in the 2019 ASUN Championship semifi nal round. This year, the two teams own identical overall and conference records and are currently tied for third place in the ASUN standings.
• The home team has won all three games in the head-to-head series between the Lady Flames and Ospreys.
• North Florida is 4-1 at home this season, with the lone loss coming to FGCU. Liberty is 5-1 in its last six road games, with the lone setback coming to FGCU.
• Monday's game will feature the top four rebounders in ASUN Conference games this season, including No. 1 Adri-enne Jackson of UNF (10.7 rpg), No. 2 Keyen Green of Liberty (10.3 rpg), No. 3 Bridgett e Rett statt of Liberty (9.0 rpg) and No. 4 Jazz Bond of UNF (8.5 rpg).

• Liberty held North Florida without a made fi eld goal for a 9:36 stretch spanning the third and fourth quarters, break-ing the ASUN Championship semifi nal contest open with a 16-2 run. As a result, the Lady Flames advanced to their fi rst ASUN fi nal.
• Emily Lytle hit four triples and scored 18 points, pacing four Lady Flames in double fi gures. Liberty shot 94.7 percent (18-of-19) from the free throw line to tie the program sin-gle-game record.
• Adrienne Jackson scored all of her 16 points during the fi rst half for UNF, which committ ed 20 turnovers.
ROAD WARRIORS
• Liberty has played bett er away from Lynchburg this season (8-4 in road/neutral games) than it has at the Vines Center (3-4 in home games).
• The Lady Flames are 6-3 in true road games this year and had won four straight road contests prior to a Jan. 6 loss at FGCU.
• Liberty has already exceeded its road/neutral win total from the 2018-19 season, when the Lady Flames fi nished 7-11 away from the Vines Center.
SUNSHINE STATE
• This road trip marks the Lady Flames' third of four regu-lar-season visits to Florida. Liberty previously played in the Miami Thanksgiving Classic (Nov. 29-30) and at FGCU (Jan. 6). They still have a visit to Jacksonville scheduled for Feb. 10.
• Liberty is 7-17 all-time when playing in Florida, including 2-2 this season. The Lady Flames defeated Miami (Ohio) at Mi-ami (Fla.) on Nov. 29 and won at Stetson on Saturday. Mean-while, their two Sunshine State setbacks this season have come at the hands of Top 25 opponents, including No. 7/5 Oregon State (Nov. 30) at Miami and No. 25 FGCU (Jan. 6).
FUN FACTS FROM SATURDAY'S WIN AT STETSON
• Liberty recorded its fi rst-ever win over Stetson in four meetings with the Hatt ers. The Lady Flames have now de-feated every ASUN opponent during their two seasons in the conference except FGCU.
• The Lady Flames won when being held below 60 points for the fi rst time since a 58-39 triumph at NJIT on March 2, 2019.
• Liberty improved to 6-1 in Saturday games this season, with the lone loss coming to No. 7/5 Oregon State on Nov. 30.
• In a matchup of the ASUN's top two rebounding teams, Lib-erty fi nished with a +10 (39-29) advantage on the glass. The Lady Flames have outrebounded four straight opponents by double digits.

2: The 2019-20 season marks Liberty's second year as ASUN Conference members. The Lady Flames spent the previous 27 seasons (1991-92 through 2017-18) in the Big South Conference, winning 16 regular-sea-son titles and 17 tournament championships.
3: Three former Lady Flames have gone on to play in the WNBA, including Katie (Feenstra) Matt era, Me-gan (Frazee) Leuzinger and Avery Warley-Talbert.
6: Carey Green is the sixth head coach in program history. He is the winningest coach all-time for the Lady Flames.

WELCOME BACK, PART 2Keyen Green has returned to the court in 2019-20 af-ter missing the entire 2018-19 season due to an ankle injury. When she took the court at Norfolk State on Nov. 5, it marked her fi rst game action in 599 days, since an NCAA Tournament contest at Tennessee on March 16, 2018.
Prior to her injury, Green was the Big South Freshman of the Year in 2017 and the Big South Player of the Year in 2018.
WELCOME BACK, PART 3The newest addition to Carey Green's coaching staff is a familiar face to Liberty fans, assistant coach Katie (Feenstra) Matt era. Matt era was a two-time All-Amer-ica post player for the Lady Flames, leading Liberty to the Sweet 16 as a senior during the 2004-05 season.
JUMPIN' JUNIORSLed by Emily Lytle (12.4 ppg) and Bridgett e Rett statt (11.0 ppg), the members of this year's junior class scored 45.1 percent of the Lady Flames' total points in 2018-19.
The Lady Flames' junior class has scored 69.2 percent of the team's points in 2019-20 and the team's top four scorers are all juniors.
RULERS OF THE REBOUNDSLiberty has ranked among the nation’s top 20 teams for rebound margin in each of the last 17 seasons, leading the country on six occasions (2003-04, 2004-05, 2009-10, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14). The Lady Flames ranked No. 18 nationally in 2018-19 and are listed No. 45 thus far in 2019-20.

COACHING CONTINUITYCarey Green is in his 21st season as Liberty's head coach, and two of his assistants (Alexis She-rard and Andrea "Andy" Bloodworth) have each been part of his staff for the last 13 seasons.
Liberty is one of only fi ve NCAA Division I teams who have had the same head coach for the last 20+ years and two of the same assistant coaches for the last 10+ years, joining UConn, Villanova, Iowa State and Alabama State.
UNBEATEN DECEMBERLiberty fi nished 5-0 during the month of Decem-ber, marking its fi rst unbeaten December since the 1997-98 season. It was the Lady Flames' fi rst un-beaten month since going 8-0 during February 2015.

From the Vines Center to Liberty Arena
The 2019-20 season will be the Lady Flames' 30th and fi nal season at the Vines Center, with the Liberty men's and women's basketball teams slated to move next door to the brand-new Liberty Arena in time for the 2020-21 campaign.
The Lady Flames played their fi rst game in the Vines Center on Dec. 7, 1990 and began playing at the facility full-time during the 1992-93 season.
The 125,000-square foot Liberty Arena will seat 4,000 spectators and will serve as the home for the Flames' men's basketball, wom-en's basketball and volleyball teams.
The Vines Center will continue to be used for convocation services, concerts and other events.
