September 2017 Joann is a registered nurse, who enjoys corned beef and cabbage, country and jazz music and golf. She is also a Seahawks and Mariners fan and we look forward to get- ting to know more about her!! We also want to welcome Mikayla and Latrise, two new Personal Care Assistants! We are all excited to be working with you! Congratulations to Salwa, Pacifica Lynnwood’s September Employee of the Month. Born and raised in Egypt, she studied at the University of Alexandra, School of Law. Salwa has a son and a daughter and they love spending time together. Salwa loves eggplant and knitting. As an employee here since 2006, Salwa says her favorite part about working at Pacifica is her relationships with all the residents and staff. Thank you, Salwa, for your hard work, dedication and kindness! There will be big shoes to fill at Pacifica as we say a fond farewell to our wonderful Food Services Di- rector Abby Lockwood who is leaving us for greener pastures and new ad- ventures! As the driving force behind Pacifica’s culinary scene, Abby played a pivotal role in creating and cooking the healthful and delicious meals that have kept residents and staff asking for seconds for the past three years! From homemade bread to her out-of-this-world cinnamon rolls, Abby has left her mark on everyone who has had the pleasure to know, work (and eat!) with her. Her four grown kids and 10 grandchildren are the lucky winners here since they’ll all get to spend plenty of quality time with Abby now; our loss is their gain! Much love and best of luck to you, Abby – you (and your cooking) will be genuinely missed!

enjoy the weather !

Or maybe, snack on a few fresh pole beans with

Doris.
