● Multiple standards from the same standards document can be aligned to items within an
assessment. This allows teachers and administrators to report on their student’s
progression, learning both primary and secondary standards within a single assessment.
● A new configuration has been added to turn this on/off. It will default to on.
● A second configuration has been added to leverage secondary standards in standards
analysis calculations. It will default to on.

updated

updated to show both primary and secondary standards, allowing users to have more
information while looking at each individual student's performance.

● Gap Match is a new item type that allows a student to drag an answer choice
to a gap
● Answer choices can be plain text and / or mathematical equations
● Gaps can be placed within text, within tables, or within lists

• Whether answer choices appear above, below, to the left, or to the right
of the main question content
• How wide and how tall the gaps appear

• Points are awarded only if every gap is answered with a correct answer
choice
• They qualify to be used as the first activity in a "pattern scored" task
‒ If the first activity is incorrect, no points are awarded for the entire

● The author can restrict how many times an answer choice can be used

New Classroom Report: Standards Performance

What is it?
A new Classrooms report focused on analyzing
longitudinal standards performance, accessible
from a “Standards Performance” link in the
Classrooms sub-navigation menu. (This link
appears according to the same security rules as
Student Performance).
Default selections:
For teachers without the Manage
Instruction operation, this report
opens directly to selecting the first
course’s sections, and all tests in
the last 6-week period for the
tests in that course’s subject.

operation will need to search and

● Text to Speech supports passage, question, and
answer choice content
● Items can be previewed in TestNav with Text to
Speech
• Select the Preview -> “In TestNav with Text to
Speech” option
● Text to speech content require generation however it
is not re-generated if the content does not change
● If the Question Language is set to Spanish, the
content will be read with a Spanish accent. All other
languages will be read with an American English
accent

● Alternate Text can be defined for:
• Word or phrases
• Images
• Mathematical equations
• Tables (read instead of the table content)
● Alternative text can be part of the test instructions, question, answer, and passage content.
● The replacement word will be read instead of the original content.
● An orange dotted border will highlight content that havs replacement/alternate text provided. A
tooltip will display on hover showing the replacement/alternate text.
● A phonetic guide is included on the Replacement/Alternate text dialog giving phonetic suggestions
to specific words for better phonetic pronunciation.

passages can all be read to the student
● Words are highlighted in blue as content is being read
● Students can select the toggle button to start reading the item content from a
specific point
