Particular Judgement for :

A.Heaven: for those who when they die are perfectly sinless

B. Purgatory: for those who when they die are

guilty of less serious sin [venial sin], where they will undergo purification.

C. Hell: for those who when they die are guilty of serious sin.[mortal sin]

A.Those who die in God’s grace and friendship, and are perfectly purified live forever with Christ. They are like God forever for they see him “as he is face to face” CCC 1023

B. Heaven is the ultimate and fulfilment of the deepest human longings, the state of supreme, definitive happiness. CCC 1024

Closing Prayer (Preface at a funeral Mass)

Father, all-powerful and ever-living God, we do well always and everywhere to give you thanks through

Jesus Christ our Lord. In him who rose from the dead, our hope of

resurrection dawned. The sadness of death gives way to the bright promise of immortality.

Lord, for your faithful people life is changed, not ended. When the body of our earthly dwelling lies in

death, we gain an everlasting dwelling place in heaven.

And so, with the choirs of angels in heaven, we proclaim your glory, and join in their unending hymn

of praise. Amen
