Opportunities at British Gas include being a Gas safe registered engineer carrying out gas servicing and repairs, or an energy expert - carrying out property surveys and energy assessments or being an installer for insulation, boiler replacements and renewable technologies such as solar PV panels.

The majority of roles have no formal requirements for qualifi cations or previous experience however British Gas looks for the following attributesin all candidates:

• Good level of basic literacy and numeracy• Good communication skills• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude• Punctuality and reliability• Pride in yourself, your appearance and your work• Self-reliability and responsibility

• Basic IT skills

A driving licence is preferable, although not essential for most posts, and other skills(such as a second language) are desirable.
