Lots of people put themselves through a very hard time with debt. Knowl-edge of your different options can give some feeling of control. Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 are the most common forms of bankruptcy. Relief is available under chapter 7 irrespective of the amount of the debtor’s debts or whether the debtor is solvent or insolvent. A case begins with the debtor filing a peti-tion with the bankruptcy court serving the area where the individual lives.

In addition to the petition, the debtor must also file with the court: (1) schedules of assets and liabilities; (2) a schedule of current income and expenditures; (3) a statement of financial affairs; and (4) a schedule of executory contracts and unexpired leases. Filing under Chapter 7 “automatically stays” (stops) most collection actions against the debtor or the debtor’s property. Now that it is over people believe they have many years before they can fix their credit. This is not the case, you can start early and improve your credit quicker than you may imagine. I talked with Jim Kavadas and he has helped people find better credit in as short as 6 months. Jim has dropped people’s interest rate in 6 months from 16% to 9% saving them thousands off the life of the loan.

Below are some questions that individuals undergoing a bankruptcy frequently ask.Do I need to be discharged? When a bankruptcy court discharges a bank-ruptcy, the debtor will no longer be liable for qualified debts. One does not need to always be discharged. Jim has helped plenty of people after they have gotten their case numbers. Individual results may vary because everybody’s situation is different. Can I keep my car? It could be difficult to get back on your feet financially without the use of a car, which is often needed to travel to a job and earn mon-ey. It is possible to keep a car in bankruptcy; but,the method used to keep your car depends on the type of bankruptcy that’s filed. Keeping it simple, if you are qualified and are managing a car loan and have paid the loan as agreed for 12 months then you might need to be discharged. If you owe more than the car is worth then surrender the car in your bankruptcy and start fresh. Will I need money down to get a new car? 70 % of new car purchases will not require money down.

No bankruptcy is easy. Take a look at your options and work with a bankruptcy attorney to determine the best alternative for you.

Rhythm and Blues in the Afternoon

If you happen to find yourself with a spare Fri-day afternoon you might want to make you way to the 14th Street Artist Community at the in-tersection of North 14th Street and Montgomery Ave in North St. Louis. Every Friday afternoon from 1 to 2 pm the 14th Street Artist Community presents Rhythm and Blues in the Afternoon with the Renaissance Rhythm and Blues Band featuring Arthur Shivers (Rhythm Guitar), Eric Foreman (Bass Guitar), Rick Roberson (Lead Guitar), Papa D – Deric Thomas (Keyboard), and Tyrone McCain (Drums).

Along with the free public concert the art gallery is also open and presenting the work of the members of the Zuka Arts Guild. The Zuka Arts Guild promotes knowledge of and participation in the visual arts through exhibitions, teaching programs, workshops, seminars and selected public art projects. The Guild is dedicated to the development of local St. Louis talent.

The 14th Street Artist Community is a collaboration of social outreach organizations, artists, musicians, poets, and other genres of the arts in an effort to build a better community and nurture a greater sense of individual and group fulfillment.

One other benefit to stopping by on some Friday afternoon is that you are only one block away from Crown Candy Kitchen. Music, art, and Crown Candy Kitchen – what more could you want?

The 14th Street Artist Community is located at 2701 N. 14th Street St. Louis in the heart of historic Crown Square neighbor-hood. For more information about Rhythm and Blues in the Afternoon and other events hosted by the 14th Street Artist Com-munity call 314-484-0345 or visit them on the web at 14thstree-tartistcommunity.com

Avoid These Fuel Issues With Your MowerNo matter how much you love mowing your lawn, there’s always something special about that first cut in the spring. It’s that initial opportunity to bring your lawn back to life after winter’s frigid temperatures finally give way to warmth. And operating a lawnmower instead of a snow blower can be deeply satisfying. But what if you’re out in your yard, ready to cut the grass and your mower won’t start?

Before you get worried and start to consider serious problems with your mower, take a deep breath. The solution could be far simpler. Instead of a problem with your mower, it could be a problem with your fuel. To prevent fuel issues from ruining your first cut of the season, keep these tips from Toro in mind.

Keep ethanol use to a minimumEthanol is gaining popularity at the pump and many new vehicles are adapt-able to this fuel change. Most engines produced to date for use in outdoor power equipment are not designed for gasoline with more than 10 percent ethanol (such as E15, E20 and E85); using higher ethanol fuel blends may lead to engine damage and/or performance issues. Before you insert a fuel into your engine read the engine operator’s manual and equipment operator’s manual for information on what fuel can, and cannot, be used in your machine and to understand applicable warranty coverage and exclusions.

When obtaining fuel for your mower, look for ethanol-free options that are at least 87 octane. If you must use an ethanol fuel, look for options where the ethanol content level is less than 10 percent and at least 87 octane.

Keep your fuel freshFuel that has been sitting inside your mower’s fuel tank since last season should be emptied and replaced unless you have treated it with a fuel treatment. While it’s best to purchase only a one month supply of fuel, Toro’s Premium Fuel Treatment can keep fuel fresh for up to 12 months when you add one ounce for every two gallons of fuel. It also protects your fuel from corrosion and cleans the intake valves and carburetor varnish.

Know where to look for help If you have any questions regarding the right fuel to use in your mower, the owner’s manual is an invaluable resource. Consult it and you’ll learn more about the mower, its motor and any applicable warranties. Owner’s manuals can be accessed at Toro.com. You can also find out more information about your mower by visiting the company’s website.

A mower that doesn’t start can be a discouraging beginning to mowing season, but it isn’t always a sign of larger problems. Sometimes the most obvious solu-tion is also the simplest. The problem with your mower may not be the machine itself but the fuel inside.
