BMC creates church by offering our place, our people, and our passions with a Christ focus to our congregation and to people of our local community. We exist to be the hands and feet of God in our community, under the intuitive prompting of the Holy Spirit.

16th September 2018

Psalm 19 – God’s Glory in Creation How clearly the sky reveals God’s glory! Isn’t it obvious? – The majestic and vastness of its appearance? When you’re above and through the clouds, the embracement of Might is felt. The mana of the Creator engulfs your soul. Each day announces it to the following day; each night repeats it to the next. No speech or words are used, no sound is heard; yet the voice goes out to all the world and is heard to the ends of the earth. There’s no need for television, newspaper, phone or facebook and twitter! Communication is done through silence – day to day, and night to night! God made a home in the sky for the sun; it comes out in the morning like a happy bridegroom, like an athlete eager to run a race. It starts at one end of the sky and goes across to the other. Nothing can hide from its heat. We do not escape from the heat of God’s love and goodness. Everyday He’s eager to greet us, and to journey with us. The heat of his love warms us, but not to burn/consume us! We are God’s creation, and we are to glorify Him. Peace Mele

Coming Events

Angela and Jono Hart welcomed a baby boy Eli Jonathan Hart on Monday at 10.40 am weighing in at 3.43 kg (7.89 oz). Grant and Holly Stephens welcomed a baby girl Adeline Millow Stephens on Wednesday night at 11 pm weighing in at 3.65 kg (8.07 oz). Both are still in Christchurch Womens as of Friday.

Chris Pryor’s brother John has died in Palmerston North this week. He grew up at this church and was an organist and piano teacher involved with his wife Elizabeth in the Anglican Church there. His parents and Chris feature in our church history and will always be remembered with fondness and love.

Conference Sunday 30th September—There is a guest preacher, and some conference members attending Beckenham. Let us have pot luck lunch please, to show our hospitality. Your contribution would be much appreciated.
