What a fantastic day to start the Bonbeach Farmers’ Market! The weather was perfect, there was a large

variety of good quality stalls offering wonderful produce and there was a relaxed country market atmosphere

about the place. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported it. There were a few minor things that

have been noted and will be improved for next month’s market but, overall, it ran very smoothly. This day

would not have been possible without a great deal of planning and preparation. A huge thank you to Narelle

Legg who instigated the whole idea 3 months ago and her hard working committee who have been meeting

regularly, organising signs, supplies, tradesmen, volunteers, etc., etc. All the minutia that is essential to make

the day a success. Thank you also to all the volunteers on the day. It couldn’t have worked without your help.

Bonbeach Primary School is getting involved with Food for Families by collecting non-perishable food items and toiletries.

All donations will be going to Victorian families who need our help!

Even taking one can of food from your pantry to donate will make a big difference!

Please put any donations in the Food for Families Appeal box, located in the Junior and Senior buildings.

Graduation Meeting @ Patterson River Golf Club Wednesday 22nd October @ 4pm

The Graduation Committee will be meeting at Patterson River Golf Club at 4pm on the Wednesday 22nd October. We will be looking at the layout of the venue for table arrangements and room decorations. It you are unable to attend the meeting could you please contact your child's classroom teacher.

Thank you to the families that have paid the $100 deposit. If you have not paid the deposit and your child will be attending camp then the deposit is required immediately. A further payment will be required shortly. The cost of the camp is approximately $210.

Contact Details A reminder that it is very important we have up to date contact details should the school need to contact you in regard to your child/ren. Please let the office know of any changes immediately. If your child has a Medical Management Plan eg: Asthma, Allergies etc please provide a copy to the office as well.

Sending money to school When sending money to school please ensure that all money is in a sealed envelope with student name, grade, activity description, permission slip (when requested) and correct money enclosed to the office by the due date. PLEASE DO NOT SEND FORMS OR ORDERS WITHOUT PAYMENT.

Sign In / Out Book Please remember to have your child/ren signed in at the office if they are late for school and your child also needs to be signed out from the office when leaving early for an appointment etc.

Please help!

I'm off to visit my family in Fiji in at the start

of November and would love your help in

collecting donations to help 2 small villages

and schools in Fiji. These villages are located

on remote islands with few modes of transport

to the island, making resources hard to come

by. We are teaming up with Vomo Island

Resort and the Pack for a Purpose initiative by

taking hand luggage with our personal

belongings, freeing up our check-in luggage

for donations. That leaves us around 66kgs worth of possible donations!

Below is a list of requested items that would be gratefully received -

There will be a suitcase in the office to place donations. We have included textas for

children to sign their name on the case, so the children of Fiji will know that the children

of Bonbeach Primary School are thinking of them!
