16th Note Rhythm Worksheet

The following sheet outlines the counting of 16th note rhythms.

16th notes are half the length of an 8th note and 1/4 the length of a quarter note.

16th notes have a double line connecting them jq OR two flags coming off the stem. x. You count 16th notes by saying "1" "ee" "and" "uh".

The goal is to be able to write the counts and clap/say the rhythms.

16th rests look like 8th rests with a 2nd line added to it.

They are even to a 16th note when you count. Remember, each single beat is

divided up into FOUR 16th notes/rests: 1 E + A
