• How do “infrastructure projects”stimulate an economy?1. Help transport people, goods,money, etc.

• Official goal: reduce extreme poverty in the world & help lowest 40% in every country

• How it works:• Wealthy countries pledge money ($30 billion in 2012)• World Bank distributes to poor countries through loans &

projects

• Criticisms:• Poor countries have to pay back loans• Sometimes they become stifled by extreme debt
