Continuous development of diagnostic assays and methods are a necessity to keep up with progress in patient treatment, for instance, with the ensuing demand for increased sensitivity for therapy monitoring.

We met in 2013 for the 1st Swiss EuroFlow Educational Meeting, and much progress has been made by this scientific group in the past 3 years. The recent development of next-generation flow cytometry nicely illustrates the power of generating congruent (standardized) data sets which open up new, unthought of possibilities in data analysis. The concept of basing the immunophenotypic classification of haematological neoplasias on develop-mental pathways was successfully extended to Immunology and the diagnosis of immune deficiencies as well as immune monitoring. In addition, the immediate need of a diagnostic flow lab for sensitive MRD testing has been addressed for several diseases.

The purpose of this 2nd Swiss Euroflow Educational Meeting is to provide you with the opportunity to follow up the work of the EuroFlow consortium, participate at the workshops and directly address the experts with your questions. The parallel workshops were chosen to cover the needs of begin-ners and advanced cytometrists, haematologists and immunologists. Those not interested in the more specific hands-on workshops, are encouraged to join the case analysis workshops. The program is aimed at all different professional groups working in this field.

Please join us also for the social part of our event, most probably the only time that will give us the opportunity to network, chat, relax and enjoy each other’s company as well as the food!

I look forward to meeting you at this exciting meeting,
