Happy Women’s day to all the incredible women out there! Shine on, not just today, but every single day!
Music evokes so many feelings in us, memories, nostalgia, things that are connected to our past. #qfr was one such event which added variety to the India Art Festival, our regular feature in February which was held online by The Aura this year.
The show ‘Quarantine from Reality’
was a reminiscence of Tamil and
Hindi Cinema with Ms Subhasree
Thanikachalam, a top class Journalist,
Script writer and Producer. She led us
through a mesmerizing journey of
music from the 1960s to the 2000s.
The Retro e-concert by very talented
young singers Santosh Subramaian,
RP Shravan and Srinidhi with brilliant
support from the musicians was a
treat indeed . The trivia on each song
by Subhasree added more charm to
the show. Three cheers to team QFR
who carried every song with great
aplomb!

The internet is fast becoming a way of life
for many and the chances of falling prey to
cyber crime looms large. Social media
crimes like profile hacking, photo
morphing, shopping scams, information
theft, eve teasing are increasing by the
day.
To throw more light on the safety of
women, we have with us Mrs S Rajeswari
recipient of the President’s medal for
meritorious service. Known for her
simplicity, honesty and integrity, she is an
inspiration to young girls aspiring to join
the police service. Let us be more aware
and less vulnerable on the internet.

For Sabita Radhakrishnan, age is just a number. A freelance writer, food columnist, textile designer, broadcaster and scriptwriter with the AIR and Doordarshan, she was also an active member of the Crafts Council of India and the pioneer behind the boutique concept in Chennai.
As a textile revivalist and craft activist Sabita’s work during the pandemic was commendable. She launched ‘The weaver’s initiative’ to help the weavers sell their stock. She deeply values her work with crafts people and their welfare.
Meet the wonder woman and be inspired.

Music is the only medium which leads you
to shed inhibitions and involve wholly into
it. QFR was extremely good and I enjoyed
it. Thank you Aura for the Inikkum Kaalai

Every song has a story behind it. And we

our favourite songs . the music session
