selling olive wood carvings made by the
Catholic families after the weekend Masses.

Since the beginning of March, ahead of the busy Easter
season, that draws thousands of visitors and worshipers to
the city, The City of Bethlehem and the Nativity Church
have been closed to all visitors and worshipers due to the
national pandemic (COVID19), thus creating a huge
burden on the local Christian families because they depend
greatly on tourism and the olive wood sales.

It is very important that we support our brothers and sisters
in Christ abroad and show our love to them and the Holy
Land. Please support this ministry by purchasing a gift for
you or a loved one.

SHOWING GRATITUDE ON PRIESTHOOD SUNDAY

One of the things that has helped me not only to get through
Covidtime but actually to thrive spiritually is gratitude. I am so
grateful for so much! I think that among the greatest blessings
that I am thankful for are our two parochialvicars, Fr. Edwuin
Cardona and Fr. Juan Carlos GarcíaMendoza! They are so
talented and hardworking, filled with love for God and for you,
His people. They help me in so many ways and put up with
me! I am grateful also to Bishop Spalding for entrusting these two young priests
to our parish. Where would we be without them?

These thoughts of gratitude are a good reflection for Priesthood Sunday. We
have the opportunity to put our gratitude into action by the offering this weekend
for the Seminarian Education Fund, a part of the Bishop's Appeal for Ministries.
We stand at 75% of our goal. It would be amazing if we could push ourselves to
the top. (This year, we actually have to make our goal or face a penalty.) Both
of our parochial vicars have recently benefited from the Seminarian Education
Fund. This is thus a very direct way to express gratitude to the bishop for these
priests (and to take a little pressure off your pastor) as we move to the goal.

Please join me in making a sacrificial and thankful offering to the Seminarian
Education Fund this weekend. Thank you for your prayerful consideration one
more thing to be grateful for!

TRUNK OR TREAT IS CANCELLED. After careful consideration and in an
effort to keep families in our parish and school safe we will not be holding trunk

Rose but we do not want to jeopardize the health of families, children and
employees. We look forward to making next year bigger and better and raising
even more funds to support our youth programs here at Saint Rose.

maneras, ¡y me toleran!

Fielmente,
