Shutter button
Hold it down halfway to focus, then push all the way to take the picture
Main dial
Cycles through options for many of the settings you can choose--(like different shutter speeds when you want to control the shutter speed)
Lens

Power switch
Turns camera on and off
Viewfinder eyepiece
Photographer can look through this to compose and check the focus of a picture. Can also use the LCD monitor instead.
Mode dial
Used to change the camera’s mode of shooting—like manual mode (where all of the settings are set by the photographer) or automatic mode (where the camera sets all of the settings)
ISO button
This button and the Main Dial are used to change how sensitive the camera is to light. Lower the ISO number, the less sensitive the camera is to light, while a high ISO number increases the sensitivity.
Battery compartment
This is where the camera battery is located.
LCD monitor
Photographer can look here to compose and check the focus of a picture. Also the camera settings can be displayed here. The Viewfinder Eyepiece can be used instead.

Memory cardor SD card

AF means “auto focus” (the camera focuses when you hold the shutter button down half way). MF means “manual focus” (you have to focus
Image stabilizer switch
When on, it reduces blurring due to slight camera shake.
dioptic adjustmentknob
Adjusts the viewfinder’s clarity for your eyes to get the auto focus points to look sharp.
Live View shooting and Movie shooting button
Switches from viewing on the LCD Monitor to viewing through the Viewfinder Eyepiece. Also is the record button when doing video recording.
