Sheffield is quickly establishing itself as one of the UK’s most influential cities for design, engineering and manufacturing.

The University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) is a network of world-leading research and innovation centres working with advanced manufacturing companies around the world. Members include global giants like Boeing, Rolls-Royce, McLaren Automotive, BAE Systems and Airbus.

Through its research with the AMRC, Boeing is developing new manufacturing techniques that can be applied to its state of the art production facility in Sheffield, which opened in 2018.

Royce@Sheffield champions advanced metals processing and the striking Diamond Building, which plays host to the Faculty of Engineering, boasts some of the top engineering labs in the UK.
