Tamil Elocution Contest

10th August 2017

15th State Level Inter-Collegiate Dr.G.R.Damodaran Memorial Tamil Elocution Contest was

conducted on 10th August 2017 at PSG College of Technology. About 64 students from 32 colleges

participated in the contest. The programme was presided by Dr.B.Giriraj, Principal, PSG Polytechnic

College. The Inaugural address was given by Mr.V.Krishnakumar, Vice - President, Aquasub Engineering,

Coimbatore. The contest was conducted under three categories: Engineering Colleges, Arts & Science

Colleges and Polytechnic Colleges with the topics “Thagaval Thozhilnutpamum Aramum”, “Iyarkaiyai

Marantha Vignanam” and “Gramamum Thozhilnutpamum” respectively.

Eminent judges evaluated the elocution presented by the students. In the valedictory function,

Mr.R.S.Krishnaswamy, President, PSG Tech Alumni Association and the Chief Guest Dr.R.Rudramoorthy,

Principal, PSG College of Technology addressed the gathering. Mr.R.Mylswamy, Vice President, PSG Tech

Alumni Association awarded the colleges that scored maximum points in each category with

Dr.G.R.Damodaran Memorial Trophy and the students who came in top three positions in each category

were awarded with cash prizes.
