1. Entries open to Davis County and surrounding areas.2. All articles entered must be the work of the exhibitor; completed
since Aug. 1, 2018 and shown in clean, sanitary condition. All entries in Divisions H and I must have a processed date.
3. All articles must be in the Fair Hall by the time entries close.4. Each exhibitor having articles in the Art Hall must purchase $1
membership ticket.5. Entry fee is $3 per exhibitor for first 10 entries, $2 for each 10 ad-
ditional items (not per entry).6. Articles must be removed from the building 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on
Sunday, July 21.7. If there is a class for an article exhibited, it must be entered in that
class.8. If there are 3 alike items in one miscellaneous class, a new class will
be created.9. No premium will be awarded to any article not completed or consid-
ered to be unworthy by the judge, even in the case of only one entry in that particular class.
10. Exhibitor will only be paid on item placing the highest in the class if that exhibitor has placed in the class more than once.
11. The Art Hall will be open from Noon to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday thru Saturday. Open Sunday for viewing of 4-H exhibits only.
12. Premium money for Divisions H - O may be picked up in the Ad-ministration Office after 12 P.M. on Thursday and must be picked up by noon on Sunday.
13. NOTE: Some classes will have the letters A, J or P following the class number.
“A” indicates Amateur. “J” indicates junior age 15 and under. “P” indi-cates Professional (those individuals having a Fed. Tax ID number). Whatever letters follow the class number indicates which group of exhibitors may enter. In a case where more than one letter follows
the class number, the exhibitors will be judged separately according to their classification, A, J or P. Unless noted, all other classes will be considered Amateur.

Davis County Fair Hall July 16-21 It’s time once again for the quilt block contest! Enter the contest by creating a block from the fabric provided. Blocks will be judged and displayed in the Davis County Fair Hall July 16–21, 2019. You may win one of several prizes.
After the fair, the blocks will be made into a beautiful quilt that will be raffled during the 2020 fair. All profits from the raffle will be used to improve the art hall. Each packet is $5 which is tax deductible. Pay by cash or check make out to the Davis County Agricultural Society
Come to the fair to see the quilt blocks and the quilt made from the 2018 blocks. You may purchase raffle tickets. Good Luck in the contest. Thank you for your participation and support of our fair.
QUILT BLOCK THEME: “PIECED WITH MEMORIES”
Rules: (read these as they change every year)1. Each contestant is receiving a packet containing 2 fabrics. Add no other fabrics.2. Each block must be 12 ½” x 12 ½ “unfinished. Your block will not be judged if the size is
incorrect.3. Blocks can be machine or hand pieced. Embellishments, embroidery & applique is allowed, but
only with red or white thread.4. The contest is limited to the first 40 people. Only one block per person. Blocks will be judged on
creativity, best use of fabrics provided and workmanship.5. All blocks will become the property of the Davis County Agricultural Society.6. For judging purposes, do not attach finished blocks to any backing.
Entry Day: Sunday, July 14, at the Fair Exhibit Hall noon to 5 pm then entries close.
1. Entries open to Davis County and surrounding areas. 2. All articles must be in the Fair Hall by the time entries close. 3. Judges will place each item in the appropriate class. 4. Each exhibitor having articles in the Show must purchase $1 membership ticket. 5. Entry fee is $1.50 per exhibitor for first 5 entries (not per entry). 6. Entries will be limited to one entry per exhibitor in each class. 7. All items entered must be 50 years old or older. 8. All items entered must be NO LARGER than 16” x 16” x 16”. 9. Premium money may be picked up in the Administration Office after 1:00 pm on Thursday and must be picked up by
12 pm on Sunday. 10. No premium will be awarded to any article considered to be unworthy by the judge, even in the case of only one
entry in that particular class. 11. The Art Hall will be open from Noon to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday thru Saturday. 12. Articles must be removed from the building from 8 am - 10 am on Sunday, July 21.

Conservation Station
The Conservation Station is 1 of 3 mobile learning centers that Iowa Learning Farms offer to educate audiences of all ages on different conservation aspects. Their team uses age-appropriate learning modules about soil, water quality and wetlands. The Conservation Station also houses a rainfall simulator demonstrating the effects of rainfall on undisturbed soils with a variety of soil covers and impervious and porous surfaces.
Be sure to come check it out on Friday, July 19th from 3-7pm!
