    PRAYER APOSTOLATES

    Community Recitation of the Rosary

Parishioners, neighbors, and some employees of the Uni-versity-Suburban Health Center gather in the Church at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays to pray the Rosary for peace.

Tuesday, March 3, the Knights will host a Marian Hour of Prayer at which a pilgrim icon of Mary under the title of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception will be on display as a focus for the evening. Please join them in the Church at 7 o’clock.

Education: Adult Education, RTF (Reaffirming the Faith), Bible Study Sacred Heart of Jesus Academy, Diocesan Programs

    Bible Study

continues to meet on Monday mornings at 10 o’clock in Mary’s Room. This group is always ready to receive new members who are seeking an opportunity to share the Word of God with fellow parishioners. Please stop by any Monday morning. We’ll be hap-py to see you.

‘WE NEED … your newspapers, unused “junk” mail and cardboard to the green and yellow recy-cle bins located near the Credit Union and adja-cent to our baseball/football field. Your discarded paper and cardboard translates into cash for us.

Please DO NOT place solid waste, glass, plastic bottles, lawn waste or other items considered “garbage” in these bins. They are for paper and cardboard ONLY. Thank you for your contribu-tions to this small effort to keep our nation GREEN.

    Dear Parishioners,

As you undoubtedly know, the students at the Academy have had a number of “free” days from school due to severe and unusual weather conditions this past week. As a result there is very little news to share with you.

Our eighth grade students experienced a wonderful Confirmation retreat last weekend. Thank you, Father Ireland, for all the ways you contributed to the success of that day.

Registration for the 2015-16 school year continues through the 20th of March for all continuing and new students in grades K to 8. Call the office (216.381.0363) if you would like a tour of the Acad-emy. There is a parent information meeting for families of pro-spective Kindergarten students on Thursday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Academy. Screening for Prevention of School Failure (E.P.S. F.) will be on Monday, April 19.

    Peace Be With You,

    William DiBacco

    Reaffirming the Faith

Come and discover WHY we believe WHAT we believe on Thursday mornings at 10 o’clock in Mary’s Room.

Mr. Tom Kelly is our facilitator for this adult ed activity called, Re-affirming the Faith. Call him at 216.382.3614 to find out the cur-rent topic. There are no pre-requirements to attend.

Marian Movement for Priests On Thursday evening at 7 o’clock this group gathers in the Chap-el to pray for priests in active ministry and vocations to the priest-hood. Consider joining them.

    Eucharistic Adoration

Lent is a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repent-ance, moderation and spiritual discipline. The pur-pose is to set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ ~ His suffering and His sacrifice, His life, death, burial and resurrection.

Consider coming to the Adoration Chapel one day a week to pray ~ to pray with your family and be with the Lord.

If you would like to become a Perpetual Adorer, please call Kay Sutula at 216.849.1871. Leave your name and phone number.

It’s time to start thinking about signing up your 3-year-olds, and 4-year-olds for our three-day Preschool program, or your 4 year-olds for our 5-day program. Both programs offer extended hours until 6 o’clock.

Questions?? Call us at 216-381-0363, or check us out online at www.sacredheartofjesusacademy.org.
