Powered by twin Scania Marine diesel engines, developing a total of 1030 kW which drive twin Hamilton water-jets and providing a top speed of 40 knots and an economical cruise of 27 knots. The vessel features an adjustable lift foil between the hulls and is well equipped with an extensive array of electronics. Four cabins located in the vessels hull can accommodate up to 6 persons. Vessel can be utilised in a variety roles including S.A.R, Customs Patrol, Police Patrol or re-configured as a High Speed Crew Transfer Vessel. CONSTRUCTION The vessel is constructed of welded Sealium aluminum alloy construction including the decks and cabins structures. The exterior aluminum surfaces have either been covered with stick-on plastic film and decals or left to oxidise. Foam and air filled Hypalon tubes are utilized as fendering on the hull topsides. LAYOUT The vessel has access via the aft boarding platform to starboard onto the aft cockpit. The vessel has walk-round decks with steps up onto the fore-deck. From the aft cockpit is central access up through the wheelhouse and down to the saloon forward or down through the ambulance bay to port. The saloon features a Ushaped settee with dining table to port. The galley is adjacent to starboard and is modern and well laid out and features a full range of domestic appliances. At the forward of the saloon there is access on to the foredeck and also access down to the two cabins in each hull, which feature double or single berths and a central hand basin, mirror and locker. Escape hatches are fitted in the deck head in each of the forward cabins with access onto the foredeck. At the aft end of the saloon amidships are stairs leading up to the wheelhouse, where the helm station is situated to starboard. All navigation communication, engine and systems can be controlled and monitored from this area. There is also the ambulance bay in the port hull with shower and toilet cubicle which can be accessed from either the cockpit to port or from the saloon. Aft of the wheelhouse is the large cockpit and access to the engine rooms in both hulls through large hatches in the cockpit deck. Aft of the port engine room is a covered recessed launching ramp for the RIB Tender which is deployed and retrieved off the transom. Aft of the wheelhouse is a small Flybridge with a set of helm and engine throttle and bucket controls to port. The accommodation areas are tidy and are fitted out with laminate paneling, joinery and trim. The deck heads are fitted with removable fabric panels. The filtration and pump system are in starboard void space. The foredeck has a Maxwell anchor windlass with a single gypsy recessed under fore deck hatches. The gypsy is loaded with 36kg Sarca anchor on 15m of 10mmshort link chain and 60m rope rode. A 22kg Fortress anchor is stowed on the starboard foredeck.  There is a spare anchor chain &rope rode stowed in the forwardbow void.An ample number of large aluminum bollards are fitted around the decks.An Oceanlift davit with 200kg SWL is stowed under the aft cockpit to starboard.The decks have been garnet blasted for slip resistance. EMERGENCY EQUIPMENTThe vessel is equipped and maintained with the safety equipment required for MNZ Inshore & Enclosed Limits for Passenger and Non­Passenger categories. A single 8-person RFD life raft is carried on the port foredeck.Two Life Rings and an ACR Global Fix Pro GPS 406 MHz EPIRB is also provided. There are two FirePro FP1200 Aerosol generators fitted in each of the engine rooms.A 3.1m RIB with 15hp 2 stroke Yamaha outboard is deployed and retrieved from a ramp located under the starboard cockpit.  Life­saving appliances are providedfor up to 28 persons.An emergency Honda G5 Portable Pump is stowed in a dedicated locker in the cockpit. SURVEY STATUSThe vessel has been built and maintained to Maritime New Zealand survey.
