Day 8-Monday

ATHENS-DUBROVNIK

After disembarkation in Athens, private transfer to Athens Airport for non-stop flight to Dubrovnik. Welcome to Croatia! Upon arrival, private transfer to 5-star hotel “More” in Dubrovnik’s Hotel Zone. This boutique hotel is unique in many ways and sits on a cliff overlooking blue water of the Adriatic. For more details, please refer to attached pamphlet. Our driver will meet you at the airport exit with a lollypop sign with your name.

Afternoon Dubrovnik Old Town city tour. Dubrovnik is arguably the most known name and most popular destination for many foreigners. It is a “must” port-of-call for all major cruise lines operating in the Adriatic. It’s stone walls 30 ft. thick and 25 ft. high protected the city-Republic for centuries. Dubrovnik was independent Republic at the same time as Venice. They were fierce competitors in Mediterranean marine trade but they never fought the war. Actually, they traded with each other and Dubrovnik was very much influenced by Venetian culture and architecture. DINNER PROGRAM: You will be our guests for a traditional Croatian dinner at our family village retreat just outside Dubrovnik. DUBROVNIK-HVAR (by hydrofoil-3.5 hr.).

Breakfast at hotel in Hvar and free day until mid-afternoon. At around 4:00 PM we will provide private transfer to Dubrovnik Ferry Terminal for hydrofoil ride to island of Hvar. Upon arrival in Hvar, private transfers and baggage assistance to a boutique hotel Pharos in Hvar on island of Hvar. Please refer to your “Quick Look” Itinerary for exact departure and arrival times. Day-11 Thursday

HVAR-SPLIT (by hydrofoil-1.0 hr.)

Most of day you will have free in Hvar until late afternoon when you will be transferred to Ferry Terminal to board the hydrofoil to Split. We will provide transfers and baggage assistance to and from hydrofoil. Accommodation in Split will be at 4* boutique hotel Jupiter located in historic Diocletian’s Palace. ABOUT SPLIT: Split is the economic, political and cultural center of Dalmatia, the Croatian province embracing the shores of the Adriatic. It is best known for its architectural treasure of Diocletian’s Palace. Roman Emperor Diocletian built the massive palace in preparation for his retirement in 305 AD. It lies in a bay on the south side of a short peninsula running out from the Dalmatian coast, four miles from Salona, the capital of the former Roman province of Dalmatia. This palace stands today, flanked by all the most important historical buildings, in the center of the city of Split. Diocletian's Palace far transcends local importance because of its degree of preservation. The Palace is one of the most famous and complete architectural and cultural features on the Croatian Adriatic coast. As the world's most complete remains of a Roman palace, it holds an outstanding place in Mediterranean and European culture and is designated as a UNESCO world heritage site. The Riva is the main city promenade that stretches in front of the Palace. Closed to traffic, it is the place for people watching, as it is dotted with bistros and sidewalk cafés. SPLIT-PLITVICE (by private car-2.5 hr. total driving time)

After breakfast, our driver will come and pick you up at your hotel in Split and take you to Plitvice Lakes National Park. You will have practically the entire day to spend exploring this truly unique natural wonder. ABOUT PLITVICE LAKES: PLITVICE LAKES NP is unique gift of Mother Nature to Croatia. This beautiful national park is made up of a chain of 16 pristine lakes, set above each other and connected by spectacular waterfalls and cascades. They are all nested in a jungle-like setting in thick woods abundant with flora and fauna. A highly-visited site, one of the most acclaimed national parks in Europe, it is a natural wonder, registered and protected under UNESCO heritage natural monuments. As there is no vehicular traffic allowed in the park, be prepared to walk. The walking paths, small wooden bridges and boardwalks are well maintained. Day 13-Saturday

PLITVICE LAKES-ZAGREB (by private car-2.0 hr. total driving time)

After breakfast you have chance to explore more and tour the Lakes before continuing to Zagreb, Croatia’s capital. Zagreb is very vibrant and young city dotted with bars, restaurants and cafes. It is Croatia’s economic, cultural and political capital. Many museums and galleries as well as entertainment spots. In particular, popular museums are Museum of Croatian Naïve Art, Museum of Broken Relationships, Mimara Museum of World Classics, Museum of Modern Art and Mestrovic Studio Museum.
