QARI ZAKAULLAH SALEEMQari Zakaullah Saleem is originally from Faisalabad in Pakistan. After completing his Islamic Education, he worked in numerous roles before becoming the Imam of Green Lane Masjid in the UK. He memorised the Qur’an at a very young age and has lead the taraweeh prayers on numerous occasions. He has also completed his Masters in Islamic Education from

the Markfield Institute of Higher Education.

QIYAAMAs was done last year, we will extend the Night Prayer during the last 10 nights of Ramadan. We will be praying taraweeh prayer as we normally do, however we will not conclude with the witr prayer. Instead we will have a short break after 8 rak’aat and resume praying at 1.00am and pray 4 additional rak’aat, then conclude with the witr prayer, leaving you

enough time for suhoor.

The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص would increase his worship in the last ten nights of Ramadan. He would wake his family and spend the night in ibadah. With Laylat al-Qadr being in the last ten nights, it is a unique opportunity to seek out this blessed

night with prayer, du’a and listening to the recitation of the Qur’an.

SHAYKH AHSAN HANIFShaykh Ahsan Hanif was born and raised in Birmingham, UK and by the age of 13 had memorised the Qur’an. In 2001 he gained a scholarship to the Islamic University of Madinah where he studied for 6 years. There he completed his Diploma in Arabic and then went on further to graduate from the faculty of Shari’ah in 2006. On his return to the UK, Shaykh Ahsan then went on to complete his PhD from the University of Birmingham. He

has also obtained Ijazah in all 10 modes of recitation.

IFTAR & SUHOORIftar will be provided each day inshaAllah for brothers & sisters who wish to break their fast at the Masjid. Brothers will be accommodated in the Community Hall via Door F and Sisters will be accommodated in the

school area via Door E.

During the last 10 nights of Ramadan suhoor will also be provided inshaAllah.
