Bloomington speech program hosts camps
The Bloomington High School Speech program is hosting two half-day camps for students currently in grades 4-8 from 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Jan. 17 in the Jefferson High School media center, 4001 W. 102nd St. The camps will include speech activities and exercises, an introduction to speech categories and a short storytelling competition. Participants will also connect with award-winning Jefferson and Kennedy high school speech students and coaches. The program has produced 14 state champion speakers and several national qualifiers. Cost for the camps is $30 per student, and each sibling receives a $10 discount. All proceeds go to the Bloomington Speech Booster Club. To register, visit bit.ly/speech-camp.
