Wedding Policies & Procedures
Wedding Planner / Day- of Coordinator
A day- of coordinator will be required by the hotel and is the responsibility of the customer to
select and hire either a Certified Wedding Planner of a Day-of Coordinator.
Day-off coordinator cannot be a guest nor part of the bridal party.
The day-of coordinator will be the liaison with your family, bridal party, vendors and Irvine Marriott
Staff and will handle all services including timeline, vendors, set up details, decorations, seating
arrangements, gifts, invitations and personal items .
Vendors
Recommendations for ceremony music, entertainment, photography, videography and additional
décor are available through the Sales and Events departments. A client may bring Vendors onto
Hotel premises that have no contract or legal connection with the Hotel. In these cases, the Hotel
must be assured that those Vendors are informed of all rules and regulations pertinent to any
service or products to be used at the Hotel. Vendors must provide a Certificate of Liability
Insurance that lists the following entities as additional insured’s:

Marriott Hotel Services, Inc.
Irvine Marriott Hotel
SPUS7 Irvine Hotel Owner, LP
SPUS7 Irvine Hotel Lessee, LLC.
Your contract will contain a “Hold Harmless Clause” which protects the Hotel from any claims for
losses or damages arising out of Vendors activities.
Music
Should your entertainment require additional power, a Power Drop fee of $425.00 plus 15.5% Staff
Charge, 9.5% House Charge and 7.75% State Sales Tax will apply.
The City of Irvine strictly enforces noise curfews on amplified music in outdoor venues. The hotel will
not permit amplified music past 10:00 pm at outdoor locations.

Food and Beverage:
Once a contract is signed and returned to the hotel, catering prices quoted on your contract are
guaranteed. Prices are subject to change if quoted rates have not been stated on a contract. Food
and beverages are not allowed to be removed from property due to certain liabilities.
Cake
Wedding Cake is not included in your package.
If you desire to provide a cake from an outside vendor, a cutting cake fee of $150.00 (plus service
charge and tax) will apply.
Menu Tasting & Special Dietary Requests
We offer a menu tasting for up to four (4) guests. Scheduling arrangements will be made with your
Event Manager, and is based on hotel availability. Please discuss considerations for dietary requests
and restrictions with Event Manager. Our catering team will be happy to accommodate your needs,
additional charges may apply.
Staff / House Charge & Sales Tax
A 15.5% Staff Charge, 9.5% House Charge and 7.75% State Sales Tax will be added to the cost of all
food, beverages, audio visual charges, ceremony/reception and reception only fees.
The 15.5% Staff Charge and 9.5% House Charge is subject to 7.75% State Sales Tax (California State
Board of Equalization Regulation No. 1603) Service Charge and State Sales Tax are subject to change
without notice.
Final Guarantee
Your minimum revenue guarantee is determined by your Wedding Sales Representative at the time of
booking your event.
Three (3) business days before your Event you need to inform the Event Manager of the guaranteed
attendance for all functions. In the event that Customer does not provide a guarantee of
attendance, the Hotel will automatically use the anticipated number of attendees provided in the
contract, for which Customer will be fully responsible.
Rooms may be set for a maximum of 3% over and above the final guarantee.

Marriott Rewards
Earn points for future stays at Marriott Hotels and Resorts or frequent flyer miles with airline partners if you
are or become a Marriott Rewards Guest. The Hotel offers two (2) points for each $1 spent on the
principal amount, excluding service charge and sales tax.
There is a maximum of 105,000 points or 15,000 miles per event and points will be processed
approximately 10 days after your wedding.
Security
The hotel cannot be responsible for damage to or loss of any articles or merchandise left in the hotel
prior to or following your event. Arrangements may be made for security through your Event Manager.
The hotel shall have final approval on all security personnel to be utilized during your function.
Decorations
All decorations incorporating candles must meet with the approval of the Irvine Fire Department. Hotel
will not permit the affixing of anything to the walls, floors or ceilings of rooms with nails, staples, tape or
any other substance.
Labor Charges
Bartenders, Carvers, Station Attendants or dedicated Servers are available upon request.
Labor Fees are subject to 7.75% State Sales Tax.
Linen
The hotel offers white linen and white napkins included in the wedding package. Additional fabric and
color choices are available for an additional charge.
Welcome Gifts Delivered in Guestrooms
Welcome gifts must be delivered by our bell staff directly to the guest room. A delivery fee of $5.00 per
gift will apply.
