The after-hours Duty Dr is now based at the ‘GP FAST TRACK CLINIC’ based at the Main Entrance of the Tokoroa Hospital. SATURDAY ONLY: HOURS ARE FROM 10AM - 4PM, no appointment necessary. Sunday after-hours are covered by Tokoroa Hospital Emergency Department. Patients registered at Mangakino Health Services can phone 07 882 8299 to speak to a triage nurse out of usual hours. Lakeland Power Boat NZ Nationals 2016 On the 15th, 16th and 17th January,
the Lakeland Power Boat Club will be hosting the NZ Nationals at Lake Maraetai. Testing will be happening on the 15th Janu-ary and Nationals on the 16th with 1st race kicking off around 10am. Mars Bar Slice Ingredients 90g butter 3 x 85g Mars Bars, roughly chopped 3 cups Rice Bubbles 250g milk chocolate block Method 1. Prepare a slice tin by lining with baking paper and set aside. 2. In a glass bowl, place butter and Mars Bars. Heat in the microwave for 1 ½
minutes and remove to stir. 3. Pour Rice Bubbles into the mixture one cup at a time. Mix until all combined. 4. Press into the slice tin with the back of a large metal spoon and set aside. 5. Break the chocolate into small squares and microwave for 1 minute and stir
for 30 seconds. Heat for 20 seconds more if it doesn’t become smooth and creamy.
6. Pour the melted chocolate over the mixture and spread evenly. 7. Cool in fridge until chocolate hardens. Lift slab out of tray with baking paper
and place on cutting board. 8. Once it is room temperature, cut into squares with a large sharp knife.
