    14 Day Prayer Focus: Meditate

The purpose of this prayer focus is to develop the discipline of meditation. Meditate

comes from 3 different Hebrew words and they collectively mean to commune, muse, speak,

murmur, complain. These words also speak of producing, germinating, flourishing, lifting

oneself up, & to put forth thoughts. When meditating, the purpose is to commune with God &

His word silently, speaking in a low voice, or even singing. Unlike other religious practices, as

Kingdom citizens we fill up our minds with the things of God and not empty out our minds. As

we fill up with God, God does miraculous things on our behalf and ultimately for His glory.

During this prayer focus you will walk with God in a deeper and richer level. It will bring

strength, rest, & new life to your life. New wells of joy and peace will burst forth. This will be a

time where God will cause you to germinate new things in Him and flourish abundantly duringyour times of trials, testing, and drought. Declare that you will not dry up!!Declare you will

produce like never before and continue on strong and vibrant!! Declare that this season of

struggle & turmoil will produce a life of deep communion with God!! Declare that our hearts

will be purified & our tastes for Gods delights are refreshed!! Declare that we will be refreshed

and renovated for our next assignments ahead!! Declare that we will see the things of God like

    never before!!

Day 1: Read Gen. 24:62-63. The well Lahairoi was the place where Hagar met God while she waspregnant with Ishmael. The name means well of the Living One seeing me. Open your eyes

and see God watching your every move. Isaac went out to meditate and what was in store for

him came directly to him!! See the things God has for you coming directly to you due to your

commitment to meditate on the Lord!! Pray that God shows you what things are about to come

to pass in your life. Walk around quietly meditating on verse 63.

Day 2: Read Joshua 1:8. Focus on this scripture and begin to do a self-check of yourself. Ask the

Lord to reveal areas of His word that you have fallen away from. Purpose in your heart that you

will do them diligently, without a second glance. In Joshuas time, the law scrolls were only in

the sanctuary, but Joshua had a copy for himself. Pray that the Lord stirs in you a deeper desire

to have His word at your fingertips & on your mind at all times for His use to make your way

prosperous. Declare that you will no longer depend on others for the Word of God!!

Day 3: Read Psalm 1:2-3. Push yourself from today onward to spend time meditating twice a

day for at least 15 minutes each. Let this passage of scripture feed your spirit as you see

yourself planted by rivers of water and bringing forth fruit. Declare over and over that whatever

you do will prosper because of your time meditating on Gods word!!

Day 4: Read Psalm 63:5-6. Marrow and fatness satisfies your soul as you meditate on God and

remember Him on your bed tonight. Marrow contains the nutrients you need to produce new

cells and fight off disease and danger while fatness provides you with protection and reserved

energy. Allow God to satisfy you with these as you give Him honor and praise Him with joyful

lips on this day. Discover the goodness of the Lord in a new way both day and night.

Day 5: Read Psalm 63:6 & Philippians 4:7. Focus on the night watches. These are the protectors

God has in place for you to keep you and protect you. The word keep in Philippians means to

protect by a military guard, either to prevent hostile invasion, or the inhabitants of a besieged

city from flight. Gods military guard is His angels and they are assigned to help you stay

protected from harm as well as stopping you from losing your mind and religion. As you

meditate on Him, this sets the angels in motion to provide you with sweet sleep and rest as wellas a settled heart and mind.

Day 6: Read Psalm 77:12. Think of the things the Lord has done so far in your life and meditate

on His goodness. Ask the Lord to show you who He is in those situations. Was He a healer? A

deliverer? A father? A guide? How did those times make who you are today? Talk to God about

it and share one of your experiences with someone for 5 minutes and see what happens.

Day 7: Read Psalm 119:9-16. Declare that you will respect and follow Gods word like never

before!! Declare that you will not forget His word and you will have delight in it!! Seek the Lord

with all your heart and give Him praise and worship on this day.

Day 8: Read Psalm 119: 23. You have enemies that are speaking negatively against you. These

enemies try to steal, kill, and destroy. Rejoice that your weapon is meditating on God when

they start talking!! As you meditate on the Lord today and tonight, God and His host of angels

fight on your behalf without you having to break a sweat. Commit to never breaking your vow

to meditate on God whenever the enemy sits and talks bad about you!!

Day 9: Read Psalm 119: 48. Push yourself once again and meditate twice a day for at least 30

minutes each. As you meditate, lift up your hands in praise because of the Lords

commandments. Lifting your hands represents you lifting yourself up to touch God in a greaterway for Him to move on your behalf and move the enemy away with authority because Gods

word stands. Each time the enemy comes your way on today, throw your hands up to the Lord

and watch Him move the enemy out of your way!!

Day 10: Read Psalm 119:78. Decide that you will let go and meditate on God despite the things

and people that do you wrong for no real reason. Pride always goes before a fall and they will

fall. Speak that the proud will fall before the Lord and not have control over your life anymore!!

Day 11: Read Psalm 119:148. Night watches in Davids time were guards who rotated in shifts

during the day and night. David was so into Gods word that he was up before the guard shifts

at 3, 6, 9, & 12 so that he could meditate on Gods word. Are your spiritual eyes so hungry for

the word of God that you beat your alarm clock up to meditate on Gods word? Do you have a

desire to wake up before everyone else does in your house and focus on God? What about

before you clock in to work? Do it!! Push yourself and meditate on God one more time

throughout the day and night before a major event. (This means 3 times on today, not the

normal 2 times.) See God do more wonders in your life because of it.

Day 12: Read Psalm 143:5. Look back at past experiences and meditate on Gods works. See

how He put His hands in those situations and brought you out. Take a walk and just wanderaround thinking about it today. Sing to Him about how much you love Him for always being

    there for you.

Day 13: Read Isaiah 33: 17-19. At the end of the trying times, your heart will wonder where the

enemy went and rejoice over the goodness of the Lord. The place God has brought you to is a

place free from confusion, deception, and lies. No harm is within your borders or in your view

of sight. God has brought clear words and clear pathways of peace and restoration. Enjoy this

time and soak in all of Gods splendor during this time of rest.

Day 14: Read Isaiah 33:20-24. See the hand of the Lord on this day. You are a quiet habitation, atabernacle never taken down!! See the Lord as a place of broad rivers and streams that you are

planted and rooted in. He is our Judge, Lawgiver, & King!! See your healing and the healing of

your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ!!
