Description: Create a spiritual poster using a montage of images.

Date: October 19, 2016

Course: Comm 130-6

Instructor: Vanessa Godfrey

Programs used: Illistrator, photoshop

Color Schemes: Bichromatic Green, Pink, Gray, White, Black

Font Name: Avenir, stan sarif; Beyond the Mountain, decorative.

Process: I picked a quote from C.S. Lewis because he is a famous Christian author. Then I went through my harddrive and selected a few photographs that would go with the quote. I picked out a couple of images that went together nicely but then I decided to keep it cleaner and eliminated all but two of the images. I added a screen filter to my main black and white photograph of the young women. I then cleaned up the background be-hind her and sharpened her face. I added multiple over laying layers of the original geyser image, then I used the smudge tool at 35% opacity to blend the edges making it look more like clouds. I added my text and downloaded interesting fonts from Dafont for my keywords. The last thing I did was adding color to the clouds and the key word: destiny.

Font Name: Agusta, decrative; Philosipher, san serif

Process: I created a Layout map for my infographic. I then started finding vectors I wanted to use for my infographic. I new I wanted a gray wolf and a caribu but I settled for an elk. I also placed a Hellacopter, American Flag and Canadian Flag vector. I then surched for maps of both Yellow Stone and Banff. Once I obtained those I started my resurch. While I was on a website I found a map showing the gray wolf packs teritory. I photoshoped the edges to becombe opeque so the viewer would only the nessisary in-formation. Upon further resurch I created my built points from the quotes I collected and placed them in the layout. I then modified the layout so it was more asstetical pleasing. The last thing I did was adding the text to the title and body.

Instructor: Vanessa Godfrey

Programs used: Lightroom, Photoshop

Color Schemes: Analogous Green (Marron, Forrest, Green, Tan, Gray)

Font Name: Code Bold, San Serif; Arial, San Serif

Process: I Started this project with the picture. I went out to a park in Rexburg and I discovered a bueatiful shallow pond. This is where I took my image. I had to go into the pond to get the angle I wanted, which in turn, led me to the idea of my title. I edited my photograph in Lightroom to give it more saturation and contrast . I new I wanted green and red in my color scheme but I didnt quite know what else. I decided to put my image into Adobi Color where I was able to pick a red and green with a few colors in the middle. I added my visuals of the bars and texts to the layout. Lastly I added my color scheme and decided to use eclipses to present it.

Programs used: Photoshop, Lightroom

Color Scheme: Complementary; Pink and Blue

Process: I started this project with an image my friend Aldren took of me. This photograph was taken with a black background and I decided that i didnt want ot cut out the image because I loved the light on the back-ground. I decided instead to add a black layer behind the horisontal im-age. I created more false lighting with the paint tool so the lighting wasnt cut where the to meddiams met. I then added the wanted sign above my head with my paragraph points. I wanted this to be a femai verson of Wanted so I had pink and blue as a color scheme to reiforce this idea. I also altered my stories so they were focused around women. I then creat-ed the barcode to finish it off.

Description: Creating a brochure of my company for future employees and clients to see my work.

Date: November 30, 2016

Course: Comm 130-6

Instructor: Vanessa Godfrey

Programs used: Photoshop, Lightroom, Indesign, Illistrator

Color Scheme: Split complementary; Pink, Blue, Green

Font Name: Thinking of betty, decorative; Champagne and limousine, san serif

Process: I decided to create my entire brochure around an image I took. I then recreated my logo color scheme to match my image. I also changed my logo from vertical to horizontal and discarded my circles. I created a camera vector from scratch in illistrator. I then started to formate my bo-cher in indesign, where I placed my main image as the background photo for the front and back of my brochure. I then cut my logo and vector in half so they would met when the brochure is closed. Next I typed out my text I wanted to use for the back of my brochure. I went through my ar-chives and picked nine of my own images and a single image of myself. I then organized all the photos and cut out the image of me so I could rap my text around it.

Description: Creating a Website mokeup for a company

Date: December 7, 2016

Course: Comm 130-6

Instructor: Vanessa Godfrey

Programs used: Photoshop, Lightroom, Ilistrator

Color Scheme and Color Names: Split complementary; Pink, Blue, Green

Title Font & Category: Sign Painter-Housescript, Decrative; Champaza, Serif

Process: First I changed the images so they were all the same size the eclipse did not work with the pictures being the same size so I made them all equal. Once I changed my font from black to gray you couldn’t see the type so I decided to change it to a bolder serif. I realigned everything to a grid. I then changed my entire color scheme so it’s a triadic green, red, blue, and a neutral gray. Since all my images were black and white it was easy to change the color scheme. I got rid of my two vectors on my footer. The blue and red of the vectors did not match my color scheme and the cluttered the bottom. I redid my header colors and font. I decided with my new serif font I didn’t really like my big fluffy decorative font so I changed it to a more subtle decorative font. I changed my white background to a gray one. The white stood out too much with all the gray background so I decided to do the same gray at my text that was surrounded by color.

Process: I decided to keep my original color scheme and fonts from my logo and business card. I created a shape map and schechs to help my ideas flow. I then opened my business card in adobe illustrator and reor-ganized the bubbles so they laid more horizontally with the text. I added circles I was going to put images in with text over top. I also added my information bar. I then decided to add the gold colors into the logo cir-cles. I added a pink bar to my information section And a red footer with my phone number and email. I decided to make my circles not contain images and make them more eclipse to add some asymmetry. I added an inspirational quote from my favorite photographer Ansel Adams. I then went through my images and picked out my favorite to add to the boxes for my images.

Description: In this project I was to create a business card and letterhead for my future business.

Date: October 26, 2016

Course: Comm 130-6

Instructor: Vanessa Godfrey

Programs used: Illistrator, indesign

Color Scheme and Color: Analogous Gold, Pink, Red, and Maroon

Title Font Name & Category: Champagne and Limousine, Sans Serif; Thinking of Betty, Decorative

Process: I found an image with a gold and red color scheme and I found my inspiration. I started with a red background and then created lots of circles with different shades of red in them. I then added the text and picked out a nice font. Once I had the font and circles in place I served the yellow strip around the text with the pen tool. I changed the opacity of the strip and added two more curved strips. I then moved on to the back of the card where I copied the circles and placed a few on the left side as well. I then added my information to the card. I wrote Valerie Fish-er again but it felt very repetitive. I then changed it to Miss Fisher and made the outline gold with the center clear. I then moved on to my letter head. for this I copied the circles and the text from my card. I decided to add the gold element to the letter head so i decided to do stripes instead of the swirl.

Color Scheme and Color: Analogous Gold, Pink, Red, and Maroon

Title Font Name & Category: Didot, san starif; Charter, serif

Process: I created my logo for my photography company in Adobe Illustra-tor. I created my HTML file and added in my type I wanted on my page. I added my coding to my type so it would be organized and presented cor-rectly. I linked my HTML file with my new CSS file. I then looked up a cou-ple of different fonts i could use for my headers and Body. I put my logo into a Hex color finder. I changed my text to complement my logo. I de-cided to make my Headers a darker red and the body a lighter red with a gold background. All from my original logo. I formated my image correctly so it would be straight across the text.
