1. Pinging Your ContentSo you've written a great post on your blog, now what? Don't think that you can sit back and begin watching the traffic flow to your site. One of the quickest ways to get your site noticed is to ping your content.

Wordpress makes it so easy to ping your content. If you follow these steps, you can easily start pinging your content automatically.

While pinging your content is not going to drive a lot of traffic, but it is a great way to begin getting your post indexed in Google.

Whether or not people find you will depend on what type of keywords you use. That is a different subject for a different ebook.

Let's get started on how to copy and paste the pinging list to add into your Wordpress site.

Just copy and past these links and paste them into your Wordpress site. Don't worry, it is not difficult, I will walk you through step by step on how to add them into your Wordpress site.

3. Adding The Pinging List To Your Wordpress SiteNow that you have copied which is “control C” it is time to log into the back office of your Wordpress site. So go ahead and log into your back office.

Once in the back office; you will want to click on:

Click on settings in your back office. Next you will want to click on the “writing” tab.

Now that you have clicked on writing, you should see a box that will enable you to paste the links directly inside your




back office.

Once you have pasted the links inside the box, don't forget to “save your changes.

4. Publish New ContentNow whenever you publish new content, it will automatically ping it to over 130 different sites. This is the first step to getting the search engines to begin crawling your site.

Remember that using this pinging list will automatically ping your content.




There are several other ways to ping your content, such as using Pingler or Pingomatic.

I would suggest that you use both of those methods as well. After all the main thing that you want is to publish your content and have it indexed as quickly as possible by the search engines.

Using Pingler To Ping Your ContentYou have the option of using the paid subscription at Pingler, however, I have personally found that using the free method is just as good.

Visit Pingler.com

•• Enter a title for the content you just wrote.

•• Next you will want to enter the URL to the page or post you just wrote about.

•• Choose 3 categories for your content

•• Click on the play button, this will reveal the code that you will have to type into the box.

•• Click on submit

As soon as you click on submit, if the code that you entered was correct, you will see the status of your ping. If everything went successfully, you should see the status update that says ping was successful.

You even have the option of having a report email to your inbox.

To have them email the report, all you have to do is enter a valid email. You do not have to wait for the pinging process to finish.

They will automatically send you the report and let you know whether or not any of the sites failed to receive your ping.




Time To Go To Ping-O-MaticNext head on over to Pingomatic and do the same thing. Enter your title of the content page and then the URL of the page or post that you just wrote about.

Check all the common services and then click on send pings.

Now that you have finished pinging your content, you can then focus on other methods to begin driving more traffic to your site.

I will be back to show you some great free traffic methods that you can use to drive traffic to your site. Posting high quality content to your site is not enough.

Many people fail to succeed online because they think that all they have to do is publish content. Sure we all know that content is KING. But if no one knows about your content, then you can't expect to have visitors flocking to your site.

You need to be focusing on how to drive traffic to your site.
