MVM fundraising committee. Simply send an e-mail to Jen Shemer at

[email protected] with "sign-me-up for the MVM fundraising committee" in

the subject line. Those who sign-up will be linked to the fundraising team that mostappropriately matches their time and interests. This month's Community Coffee is

tomorrow, March 22nd at 9:15, the focus will be on fundraising. Please join us todiscuss how new fundraising efforts can benefit the school this spring.

Project Earth is still looking for new members interested in joining them. This group

works to promote awareness about environmental sustainability. Currently they arebeginning to plan their annual Earth Day Fair, a great spring event at MVM!

The annual MMCI auction will be on Friday, May 10th. Planning meetings are underwayand new volunteers are needed to work on various tasks from home.

Please take a moment to look at our School supply donation page each week. Items arealways in need and teachers could use your help to help maintain stock of these items.

Get to Know -The Staffing CommitteeWho are they?

The current chair is Yvette Rood ([email protected]) and the chair-elect is Janie Nordstrom Griffiths([email protected]).

    What do they do?

The Staffing Committee is comprised of parents, administration, and staff from MVMPCS. The GC makesdecisions regarding staffing levels at the school, and this committee formulates position descriptions and

interview questions, conducts interviews for the positions, and decides whom to hire. Confidentiality is animportant consideration when joining the committee.

    When do they meet?

We don't meet regularly, but usually will have 3-4 meetings through the course of a year. Responsibilities

tend to vary according to demand, and often the spring and summer are the busiest. Most communication forthe committee is by email.

    How can you help?

If you are interested in joining the committee, please contact Yvette Rood (Chair, [email protected]) or JanieNordstrom Griffiths (Chair Elect, [email protected]). We will have a meeting in April which interested

    new members can attend.

about environmental sustainability anddeveloping habits that are in line with that.

Our focus is on how small personal actions canaffect the larger community. We're looking for
